The super-great plusses: excellent location -- a few blocks to the embarcadero in one direction and Chinatown in the other direction -- for this re-decorated older property (not sure what it was before) that is now very clean, well-appointed, comfortable. Staff is very friendly and quick to help. Great art. Very nice soaps, shampoo, etc. Price is incredibly low, and there is no pet fee. Let me say that again so that it sinks in: NO pet fee. I don't think that's the case at any other hotel in downtown San Francisco. Bottom line: Is it ritzy? No. Is it clean, comfortable, well-located? You betcha. We'd happily stay again.

And for a few minuses: the rooms are small, which is actually pretty much what I expect in a big city. But we really had all the space we needed, including a comfortable desk chair and a comfortable lounge chair. There is pretty much just one of everything in the room: one pillow per person, one towel per person, no extra blankets. However, I expect if you asked for additional anything, the staff would be quick to respond. There is no parking garage, but there is city lot 1/2 block away which charges about half of what hotels WITH lots charge for their parking. You can load/unload in the loading zone in front of the hotel.

Perfect for traveling with kids! We each had our own space when needed. At the same time, we could hang out together and feel more connected than with 2 separate hotel rooms and it was certainly cheaper than paying for 2 rooms. The room also had a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker and with a Safeway not too far from the hotel, we were able to have what we needed to put together a light breakfast to get us going for the day. It was exactly what I was looking for and am so glad I found it at Club Quarters! Also, the staff were very friendly and we appreciated the free glass of wine at the affiliated restaurant and the rooftop terrace that we took our wine to enjoy. A very enjoyable stay!!

The individual rooms that comprised the Family Room With One Queen and Two Twin Beds were a little smaller than regular rooms but it was fine for us. Just thought people might want to know that :)

the location gave easy access to public transportation and several interesting restaurants within walking distance including the ferry building and North Beach. The room was quite dark and the view from the room was terrible onto a wall (courtyard) with slightly audible machinery running nonstop. However, no traffic noise or emptying of containers in the middle of the night. Makes for a good night rest. The shower fixture was very nice, except it didn’t let you adjust the height of the shower head although it was on a rail. Water flow was very good and the warm water came very fast. The refrigerator was adequate size and hidden in the desk, which minimized the running noise. The public parking garage is across the street and was $35/night.

room service was suspended for Covid. i am tired of hearing the covid excuse. if i don’t want room service, i can opt out or give me a $20 discount. no emptying of trash cans or more coffee pods. you can ask for room service every couple of days. The window cannot be opened at all.

Incredible location and value for what you get. Very professional staff. Clean, comfy rooms and bed. Great lobby lounge (with coffee machine) if you need a little space. Patio up top with a nice view. Water refilling stations with free reusable bottles. Attached restaurant was really good, perfect breakfast. Starbucks (if you need it) 20 feet further. This is a gem. I'll be back.

Location: Perfect. Embarcadero Station's just 6-7 or so minutes of walking away, which gives you 30-40 minutes of access from SFO using BART, and also access to Muni's Metro lines. Bus stops are scattered within a few minutes away too, which should give you coverage to other areas that Muni metro lines do not. Fisherman's Wharf is 20 or so minutes walk away, if you feel like being active. Area's pretty safe too, even at night. You can see some homeless people but not anything egregious that I wouldn't find in my own city. Price: I snagged a good deal for the dates I wanted to stay at. Got a good, clean room with most of the amenities I was expecting. Staff: Helpful, no complaints Facilities: They got laudry room guests can use (ask reception for detergent and dryer sheets), which honestly is a god send for me. They also have ice machine available for guests, which together with their water refilling stations I greatly appreciate.

Few stuff but no deal breakers - Would appreciate more hooks inside the bathroom to hang more of my stuff in while bathing - Would like to have more stuff in the bathroom like some disposable razors, hand soap dispenser - TV's pretty hard to operate. But not big of a deal since I brought my own devices to keep myself entertained while at the room - WiFi was dead slow on my last day of stay. For me, not a big deal since I've got plenty of mobile data I could use instead

We needed two rooms joined that could accommodate a dog. Club Quarters met those needs. The self-service check-in was seamless through the digital kiosk, although we had a question, and the front desk was readily available. We loved the filtered water station on our floor by the elevators (we did not use the provided empty clean bottles because we had our reusable bottles). All the amenities were provided - shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body lotion. Finally, it was an easy 3-block walk over to the Embarcadero and then a mile to Pier 33 (to Alcatraz's dock).

The beds were too soft for our needs, but the issue was that the beds were too worn down that you feel the indentation from previous sleepers. One of the indentations was split in half which made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep.

The hotel's location was great. It's in the Financial District and it was around a 10-minute walk to the Ferry Building. I felt so comfortable walking to the Ferry Building area and from there, I used the path to walk all the way to Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was so friendly and even if there were check-in kiosks, they were ready to assist you. There's also a seafood restaurant besides the lobby and the prices were on par with similar restaurants. Since I was traveling alone, I really wanted to try the cioppino, a fisherman's stew that originated in SF. I saw that the prices in seafood restaurants start at $50. But the Fish & Farm restaurant at the hotel have a huge lunch portion for $25. It was really good and I highly recommend it! There's also a Starbucks besides the restaurant. My room was cleaned everyday and what I love most was the water station near the elevator. You grab a bottle or two and can always replenish your water anytime. I'm glad that I was able to save money on buying water since most hotels would only provide a complimentary bottle per day. As for safety, you have to use your room card on their elevators. The area outside the building looked very safe to me. And since it's in the Financial District, the office people are the ones you'll see walking on the streets.

I'm not sure how the hotel will be able to address this but the walls are not that soundproof. I can practically hear the movements in the rooms beside me, above me, and under me. 😂 But then again, I'm only in my room during bedtime and mid-morning. It didn't really bother me that much since if I can hear the movement and sounds of the other hotel guests, I'm pretty sure they also heard me scurrying about in my room. 😂

If you come to San Francisco for sightseeing than the location is perfect! We were walking to many attractions: the cable cars, China Town, Embarcadero, Italian Village, Union Square. The tram line F to Fishermen's Wharf is also nearby. Many eating options within walking distance, too. Staff is polite, professional and helpfull but usually very busy. I'd asked for a quiet room and I received one on the 7th floor, there was only part of a street noise reaching our level :-). We had even a partial view to the sea! Thank you. The hotel premises and room was clean. Our queen size bed was comfortable. There is a free coffee and tea in the lounge area and a purified water station on each floor. The hotel doesn't have any breakfast room. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel where you can get your meals.

The sofa bed in a "Room Suite with kitchenette" was really hard. It was ment for my 15 yrs old daughter - she managed to sleep, but I was happy I didn't need to sleep on it. The room was rather tight after opening a sofa bed - using the table with 2 chairs was not very comfortable. There would be a space for a 3rd chair. "Kitchenette" includes a microwave, coffe machine, 2 cooking pots and a set of plates and basic cutlery for 2-4 persons. I don't know if you can get more if needed. Our bedroom TV-set didn't work (No signal) and the issue was not solved within 24 hours. I didn't like single use caps, covers and stirrers - but this is a big problem in the whole country :-( Sooo much waste.

CQ definitely surpassed my expectations. I was looking for something low-cost in a central location to be able to get back-and-forth to various tourist areas within San Francisco. Even though CQ cost less than the hotels around it, the accommodations were more than sufficient for a four-day stay. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised.

I knew that CQ did not provide breakfast and that there is a restaurant on site. I must admit that I was surprised at how much breakfast cost for two people at Fish & Farm the first morning that we were there. After tax and tip breakfast was over $50! From then on, we went around the corner to Starbucks.

Excellent location and great value for price paid, especially in such an otherwise expensive part of the city (right next to Transamerica Pyramid; 10-minute walk to Chinatown; 8-minute walk to Embarcadero subway station from which practically anywhere in the city is reachable; plenty of nice and not too expensive restaurants nearby). Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean facilities, fast Wi-Fi, and great views from the sun deck. Really nice decoration as well. Very clean and safe in terms of anti-COVID measures. I wish I could have stayed longer! But I'll definitely come back whenever possible.

The hotel's restaurant was a little bit overpriced in my opinion. Would have been nice to have a continental breakfast buffet or any similar options with fresh fruit, but I guess that's hard with the ongoing public health situation. The only other relatively negative point was an unexpected charge of about 50 USD/night as a security deposit. I don't remember being informed about this until after I was charged, so it'd be great if this could be clarified more explicitly. That said, the 200 USD or so were reimbursed to me in their entirety about a week after my stay as promised, so no issues there. Just something to be wary about if you're paying with a card without too much "buffer" money :)
