Front desk. Very courteous, professional, he was super busy and he really helped me out. So helpful I bought him a slice of pizza. I've stayed here before, so I know what to expect, clean very clean bedding, the quilts and pillows are newer, bathrooms are very clean as well as the showers, on booking.com you can usually get a pretty good deal if it's not super busy with a convention in town, when you get a fair deal, it's not the Marriott, but then again you're not spending $450 a night either! It's a fair deal at a great price! can't beat it, @ Columbus/ BROADWAY you're in the heart of North beach, great restaurants great little dive bars cool little pubs excellent Italian restaurants got Little Chinatown right next to you it's the best, best pizzeria right next door outside the front door make a right two doors down asking for an extra crispy slice, tell him Charlie Bass sent you , you get a free soda !

Pretty much,no walk inside, You pretty much need a reservation on expedia.com booking.com or priceline.com but you kind of need a reservation to be on the safe side and that's pretty much common sense but if there's something I could say that I don't like that's kind of it but it's a little bit nitpicking but anyway I live and I learn.

The location is great. Near downtown, little italy, chinatown, the embarcadero, and the fisherman’s wharf. An easy train or bus ride away from tje golden gate bridge and the golden gate park. The rooms are clean and so are the restrooms. Our room had a microwave, sink, and minifridge even though it was one of the shared restroom rooms. Staff are helpful!

For the price everything was perfect. Location alone is worth it. There are a few rooms that are just above a couple bars and these get loud on the weekends, and the rooms do not have AC though cracking the window during the day is more than enough to keep the room nice and cool. The stairway up to the front desk and the hallways look a bit rough, but again the rooms are fine and the price and location make that not a big deal. Lastly the breakfast was nowhere to be found. I suspect it may have historically been in the lobby but it seems that has been closed since covid.

I booked a private room with private bathroom. Considering the extremely low price and FANTASTIC location on the cusp of North Beach and Chinatown, my room was OFF THE CHARTS! Well yes, it's a small room, and has just the basics at this price point (good thing I always travel with a mug)... but everything was reasonably clean and comfy, plus a microwave and fridge that worked well. The Europa is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The staff was kind and helpful. (Oh, I dropped my phone, and THANK YOU to the nice couple who found it and turned it into the gentleman at the front desk. I enjoyed your photo!)

It's not a major issue, but there was no lobby available. A lobby would make things even nicer (Like, a place to sit for a few minutes while you wait for your friends or for your ride) but truly, it's not a big deal.

My expectations were not so high because of the price, but Europa Hotel exceeded my expectations! Our room was very spacious and also our ensuite was large and well equipped. Location is perfect: you are in the heart of China Town, which is a very lively neighborhood with great restaurants and shops. We had a room that was not next to the street, so little noise at night (except for some shouting neighbors one night).

Location is perfect if you do not expect anything fancy (e.g. no towels or other stuff). We had a 2-persons room and were happy that we had a big bed (I think 1.80m wide). Mattress could be more comfy, but was OK, and pillows were great. Reception desk was not occupied most of the time, while the front door was often not locked (even though we had a keycard), that we found a bit weird.

Don't mind negative feedbacks. This hotel meets the requirements of those travellers with very tight budget. Just what you need. Plus its just one block away chinatown. You also have your own tv, fridge and microwave. The toilet and bathrooms are also clean. The cleaners really do their job. This hotel is way better compared to those dormitory style hotels with the same price as this. I highly recommended.

just the stinky smell of the carpet I think.

This is one of the best budget hotels I've stayed in. They upgraded me at check-in. The staff was really nice. It's an older hotel but the room is upgraded. It's totally clean, the bed is super-comfortable. There's a 40 inch flat screen with all the Dish channels, microwave and fridge. The location is perfect. It's right in the heart of North Beach. There's a great pizzeria and a taqueria next door as well as the famous "The Saloon". The value is tremendous!

There's nothing I don't like. It's a budget hotel and it's a great value. I'll stay a while.

Perfect location, excellent value for money, clean toilets/showers, very safe (everything only accessible via a key card) Staff always available and very helpful (allowed us to store our sizeable bags after checking out Hairdryer available, working TV - with a myriad of channels, toiletries and towels (clean!) Honestly, for the money, it was great!

The corridors could use vacuuming, but this doesn't detract from the experience The outside is pretty loud, if you're susceptible to noise, get ear plugs (obviously this is a San Francisco thing, some nights were better, some worse) WiFi was poor but usable for chatting and browsing. Beds were serviceable but keep in mind we finished each day exhausted, haha - I wouldn't exactly call them comfortable.

The property was in a great location. Some of the rooms were great value when compared to other hotels. The staff was extremely helpful when we kept extending our stay and understanding with a late checkout. They also were very accommodating when we made a mistake.

One of the rooms offered very little for the price. There's no elevators and very steep stairs. The younger members of the staff could be better when it comes to costumer service. Everyone else is great.

Property is being renovated, room at a time, by “handyman” type workers. So the work is not flawless or of highest quality. It is good and they are working hard to make the spot very good. They are creating a strong value oriented hotel in a city where value options are very rare.

Television did not work. Window needed repair.

I like the area it was in. It was on top of a Mexican restaurant and near by bars and I think clubs. In a nicer area with alot of people around at night and during the day. Uses key card so u don't have to get personally buzzed it. U can come n go when u please. Check in latest is 12am.

The hotel has a smell. Not as bad as the other one I stayed at afterward but still a tiny smell.. wish the window would face the street. N wish the window has screens since ny window is where all the pigeons was sleeping at night. I was scared to open it all the way
