The bikes, the clean area it’s honestly just the pictures didn’t seem like the location the truth is you will Not be along the beach and it is not a walk out property it’s more of a get up walk way down property not directly on the beach.
The pictures on this site were not honest at all! If you look at photos you would think you are walking out straight on a beach and that’s not true the beautiful white comforters were a Arabic feel. The windows need to be cleaned this property is not on the beach you have to go out and walk. The area at night is unsafe.

I really liked the room - it was small and cozy, but clean and with a nice elegant touch, with a bonus to see the beach and the ocean directly from the bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and as a solo female traveler, I do want to highlight that I felt safe.
The room was a bit small, and the weird part was that that the toilet was split into two, and there was little privacy for someone taking a shower (in case you are traveling with a friend).

Every staff member was incredible. The complimentary bikes, skateboards, beach chairs and towels were a great touch. Location is great, there's a great coffee shop next door and in the little square you're in there are food places, but everything is very walkable. The rooftop is cute - I upgraded my room to ocean view which was incredible.
The accommodation is expensive - as are most places in Venice Beach. California has a well known homelessness/mental health problem and that's very evident here too, one night I was awoken to an agitated man, screaming racial epithets walking around the car park area, although the local security people were monitoring the situation it didn't make me feel the safest as a solo traveller.

We were upgraded the the PH with sea views. Really cool room with a vibe that suited the Venice Beach location. Staff were helpful and valet parking meant that the car was secure overnight. Excellent location for Venice Beach.
There was a very bad stench of marijuana and urine outside the hotel and sad scenes of homeless people.

Location was perfect. It would have been good to know in advance that the Ocean View rooms weren't actually on the waterfront – those are the Ocean Front rooms. We were informed by the staff upon arrival, but also given an upgrade to a room on the top floor so it was a good-natured discovery.
I would have liked it if there was a little more room in the bedroom portion of the rooms, or more space to store and open up luggage.

Great location, right on the Venice boardwalk but there are rooms that are quiet, like the one they gave us. Really cute, well designed, with a super comfortable bed. It's a hotel that has a lot of character and history. Steps away from the beach, there is a fantastic fish and chips place almost attached to it and an organic coffee shop as soon as you exit as well. Highly recommend this place if you're going to Venice/Santa Monica.

Great location right on the beach and close to many cool restaurants. The building/rooms have been nicely renovated and I liked the "stripped down" vibe of the rooms: everything you need, great attention to detail but no clutter. And the bed was super comfortable!

prime location, interior design, the cool Marshall minibar and sound system, amenities, comfort of bedding, friendliness of front desk personnel.
No accompaniment to the room, no assistance with luggage. Housekeeping only upon request. Post Covid, quite surprising at the rate charged for a Penthouse room.

This hotel is excellent. The lobby is adorable. The rooms are cute and immaculately clean. The staff is fantastic. The coffee shop downstairs is so good. And it’s pet friendly! For a beach hotel in the heart of Venice, you can’t do better !
It’s on the pricier side but 1. Location and 2. I believe you get what you pay for!! So it’s worth it.
