Beach Terrace

The location was perfect and the accommodations were really lovely. The décor was very much beach life and comfy. Upscale enough that I enjoyed the look and feel, but not so much that it's intimidating or sterile. All in all, I will be back again and again.

I didn't like the thick fog that descended in North San Diego County while we were driving to Carlsbad. BUT, while at Beach Terrace, the fog added to the ambiance.

We loved the pastries and spa water. We loved the comfy beds, large rooms, bikes, the beach chairs and umbrella provided, we loved the fire pits. We would have like to have the fire pits on the early morning to enjoy coffee by the pool. We loved the heated pool!

We could also hear the person above us up at 4:30AM walking around for an hour. We did not like being woken up at that early. We could also hear the rooms music from the room next to ours.

lots of steps, no elevators. no jacuzzi. a few ants on wet bar. my recommendations are..maybe just a portable pool bar during peak season, and it would only take 1 beach attendant 30 mins to rake and remove any sea weed every morning for a clean aesthetically exceptional beach front. they don't seem to be that busy give them something to do lol. In closing, I already highly recommended the resort and will return. The King ocean view is truly amazing.

When there were problems (toilet running, sliding glass door to the veranda sticking) they were quickly resolved. Staff listened and were amazing, including the gentleman who fixed the problems. Beautiful remodel, cool firepits, cozy beds, great shower and shower amenities. They even provided dolphins swimming by in the ocean view.

The location is great! 10 minute away from Thursday Sunset food market and there is a lot of nearby restaurants. The staff is amazing and the services is well provided. The beach view is wonderful. Around 40 minutes away from little Italy in San Diego. The room is large and was comfortable for my family of 4. The breakfast was delivered to the rooms due too Covid19 policy! It was always delivered on time requested. One night we came back to our room to find a bag of macrons at the door! It was a nice gesture.

The room was clean regarding to the sheets and rest room but it was dusty. The delivered breakfast was descent but it would be nice if they was more option. The rooms were not to be cleaned everyday also due to Covid19, we have to requested to be cleaned before 24 hours! We did schedule a cleaning and we left the room for more than 2 hours but they did not clean it so make sure to confirm the cleaning before you leave. They did apologize and clean it eventually.And I still loved the place and the staff.

Breakfast choices are average . Excessive cost to upgrade to better? packaged breakfast. Brought to room, nice. It’s an old hotel (1980s) which has been upgraded sparsely. The new wing (South Terrace ) is preferred w/ full ocean view. Old buildings/wings have thin walls and ceilings so noise travels readily from room to room. Multi level stairs, no elevator. Proximity to town center is a nice plus. Can hear ocean waves sounds everywhere. Would stay again but only in South Wing.

Location on the beach is fantastic! We had a balcony facing the beach and the view was awesome. Like others said you can hear the waves crashing at night. It is also within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The area feels very safe and while we were there street parking was fairly easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the bag breakfasts are a treat every morning!

Room is dated and the mini frig in our room didn't work well but the location more than made up for these issues.

location was perfect and the staff was super friendly! Check in and out was a breeze. I also like that there was private parking so finding a spot was not an issue.

Dining was closed /. To make up for that, continental breakfast was delivered to the room each morning which was nice. Unfortunately our room was not equiped to dine in. Also, beach rental was in high demand so not guaranteed to get

ocean front room

price of extra day as original was for 3 day with discount and we had to cancel one night due to weather alert …. high tides winds roads etc … and then added one night as weather was changed .. they did not offer my original deal … just would have been nice as we have no control on severe weather issues ..

Location was great; the staff very nice. Loved having someone set out chairs and umbrellas.

The only constructive criticism we had, was the breakfast was very lack luster and could have used a coffee bar in the lobby
