Staff was super friendly and helpful. We ended up in a little cottage room our first 3 nights and it was cute and had plenty of room for 2. Hotel is within a 3-10 minute walk from just about anything in town and less than a block from multiple shops, restaurants, and an arcade. We ended up having to stay an extra night because our boat back was cancelled due to weather. The front desk girl was so helpful and nice in helping us get set up for an extra night. I would absolutely stay here again

Facilities are a little old but a staff member shared it's a very old building so there's some neat history. I do wish they had an elevator.

The Location is great, the staff was great and the price was right. I liked the new Cork and Brew bar downstairs - Cindy is the best!

One of our two rooms had dirty dishes that were forgotten in the sink. The tile floors felt dirty when when walking on them barefoot. There were no pans and when I asked why was told they were being phased out. I then asked then why do you advertise kitchenette with an electric stove burner?

Great location and friendly staff! was able to check in early and loved the baggage storage options. PLUS use of chairs and floatys! Great price as well.

Eveything was great! No complaints!

The staff at Hermosa were fantastic! My trip was on the tail end of the rainy weather and they checked in about getting me an extra blanket and space heater. Super friendly and caring about guests. The location is also great, it's not too far from the ferry dock and a short walk from everything. It's definitely an older building with some work being put in, but for a short stay at Catalina it was perfect for this solo traveler.

The shower heat varied a lot. Also there's a lot of stairs so if you use a wheel, crutches, or cane or have a stroller this isn't an accessible hotel just an FYI .

I didn’t try the breakfast. A reminder would have helped. Didn’t know the Hotel offered breakfast. I liked the upgrades.

I didn’t like climbing 3 flights of stairs to get to our room after a long exhausting day at Catalina Island.

Loved the location, friendly staff, hot water and amenities in room. Staff was able to acommodate a change of room to include extra bed as I didn't realize I had booked a single Queen for two people (not a couple). Great Caribou brand coffee in thermos served all day. nice staffed bar in hotel. Dog friendly.

A\C unit needed clean filter. Notified staff, but not addressed the day reported. little things like single bed placed right under window a/c unit. Curtains fall below a/c unit , so can't have window shaded while a/c is on. Mold in shower and on bottm of shower curtain, not enough hooks for towels in bathroom. STAIRs

We loved that this hotel is dog-friendly! What a joy it was to bring our furry little guy with us. We also loved that this was a cute, quirky, historical site (established 1896- so cool!) And the room - one of the cottages near the top - had everything we needed. There was the practical little kitchenette, which we happily used for cooking breakfast in the mornings, and the lovely deck outside, complete with twinkle lights and views of the mountainside - delightful!

The only thing I can think of for the hotel to improve upon would be to fix the ice machine :)

The Hermosa Hotel offers the perfect little cottage get-a-ways. They have hotels that fit larger families, spaces to hold luggage before check-in, and separate public bathrooms to wash scuba gear. When booking our hotel, we had to make several changes, including modifying the room size and changing dates. The Hermosa staff was extremely helpful, patient, and kind during every interaction. Their location is prime-time with just a 5-10 min walk to the main town area and a 5 min walk to the island's only grocery store. I will not be staying anywhere else!

Consider installing bulk containers for hair conditioner and soap to cut down on waste.

The room with the 3 beds was nice. It was 2 seperate rooms for the price of one. Both even had their own entrance. Came in handy for my family. Loved how my room was assigned in the edge so we were right by the balcony/patio. I had a nice view! Coffee and tea also available in the mornings. They also provide luggage storage. Very calm and quiet place. Room was clean! Staff was great!

The window drapes didn't work. Like mentioned in other reviews the shower is super tiny. Sink is in the rooms ans no counter space. I also would have wished a nightstand next to the 1queen bedroom. Overall I would recommend the room with 3 beds! You have privacy while staying together.

Great location. We had an easy time unloading our luggage when we arrived early. Check in was very straightforward. The staff made us feel welcomed.

Although the pet policy was stated in their website, we didn't receive all the details we needed to have when we arrived. The staff helped us make sense of their pet policy but a little more on-site guidance when we checked in would have been appreciated.
