We had requested if possible that my father was to have a room all on one level with him being disabled, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that he did. We all loved our stay and had such a lovely time including our 2 dogs! The rooms and clean and spacious, the food at the restaurant on the evening and for breakfast the next morning was delicious. The staff are so friendly, chatty and nothing was too much trouble. And the grounds and garden were immaculate, we were so impressed with all the beautiful flowers, the ducks and the peacocks that walk around - we loved that!

The room was lovely clean and new. Breakfast was excellent and views were beautiful. my husband and i thought the location was ideal, very close to Whitby town centre, a short walk or taxi journey gets you there, but at least you come back to the Stables at the end of the day to get away from the hustle and bustle, relax and wind down with a lovely evening meal watching the wildlife and looking at the stunning views.

Vegetables on my evening meal were slightly cold compared to the rest of the food, but apart from that everything was excellent!!!!!

on our first night we booked a meal in the restaurant we felt the meal was ,nt very good when we went to pay we were asked how the meal was and we explained and were offered a discount every other aspect of our stay was great from the breajfast to our accomadation and we are definitely going to book again

Stunning Location, right near whitby but very countrified..stunning gardens with lots if different bird and wildlife buzzing around..Suoer dog friendly in all areas..Great restaurant but what made it for us was the friendly staff...plenty of smiles all round and on the ball with service...It's got a really good atmosphere...and Again stunning location

If I had to really dig to moan..the lack of curtains in the room..there was blinds but mabey a tad flimsy ..we just stuck a towel over ..problem solved .. Rough grouting on the floor could be tidied ... I'm really having to dig to moan...We loved it

The service was good and the breakfast was good. The room and the pub was clean. Very professional staff and very helpful.

The two chairs in front of the TV were very uncomfortable. The skylight did not have a blind so we were awaken at 5 am as soon as it was light - it needs a blind. Noisy neighbours next door banging doors and being loud until 2 am. We would have had an evening meal but the prices were on the high side. The room was slightly overpriced for what it was.

The breakfast was amazing and was set out very nice. The gardens outside were beautiful with different birds often flying around in them. The design of the hotel and the bedrooms were so unique, I've never stayed in a place like this before! The staff were helpful and welcoming especially those working on the breakfast in the morning. The location was great as it was 5 minutes drive away from the centre of Whitby. The jet bath was very relaxing and was a great way to end a long day out exploring. Lastly, I loved how dog friendly it was and how welcoming they were of us all including our dog. We were welcomed to a bowl, blanket and treats for our dog as well as sleep masks for ourselves as we entered our room. Absolutley amazing bedroom, couldn't believe how nice it was and how dogs were welcome in such a beautiful place!

I didnt like some of the prices as it was quite overpriced for a 3 night stay for 2 people, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The dinner menu was slightly too high especially for the sandwiches which were £11, which I felt was more than double what I would have paid for a sandwich. The meals were lovely at dinner but the chips weren't too good as they were quite soft and doughy which was a shame as the rest of our meal was lovely and great portions. And lastly the bed was very firm which is perfect for those who love a firm mattress but for someone who doesn't, it did take a while to get to sleep on it and ended up hurting my neck and back.

Loved our stay we come to you every year 👍 just under taps was a bit dirty and second day we was left no toilet roll 🤔 but the place and staff are brilliant. Thank you so much and see you soon looking forward to the new look new rooms and garden I believe. Also we where in room 8 where there was a noise seem to be coming from something behind the wooden fence in the grounds of the rooms.

Brilliant Place, Liked everything, Super friendly staff, Excellent service. Food was nice. Dog friendly which we did not realise, as would have brought ours. So next time we will.

Would have like a larger selection of meals on the menu. but other than that .. everything was great.

Room (with four poster bed) was lovely to stay in and relax. Jacuzzi bath was a very welcome bonus feature. Bed was very comfortable and room quiet overnight. Breakfast included was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Place is also only short walk down into Whitby for an everning walk along the beach, which we did.

Only very small niggles to iron out - shower head slightly unstable, and a small light within curtained four poster would have been useful.

The friendly staff, the location and the grounds were lovely even so close to a main road. The room was comfortable and had some very nice little touches, such as eye masks, biscuits for the dog plus dish and a blanket. 2 staff stood out and that was Leanne and our waitress on the evening Nina, both chatty, pleasant and very polite. My husband said the steak pie was one of the best he’d ever had.

My Gammon was over cooked and this made it quite tough. I ordered a lemon meringue roulade for dessert and to be honest if I’d have been the chef I would have been embarrassed to serve it. It was flatter than my iPhone, rubbery and totally inedible, what a disappointment
