It was a nice pleasant hotel good location central tunis very nice breakfast in the morning plenty of options. Nice clean room and bathroom plenty of towels and and complementary shower gel and shampoo. And nice bath robes to wear after your shower. And smart tv to use with plenty of channels to watch in various languages.

My bank card had been charged for my stay on the 04/01/23 when stated on booking.com website states I would pay for my stay at the hotel. And my stay was on the 20/01/23. Not good when they require your bank card state you won’t be charged and charge you for you stay before you even arrive. When I went to reception to book a taxi to the airport the next morning and I went to the reception that morning and they weren’t aware there was a taxi booked for my room. And I had to enquire if my taxi had arrived and receptionist all but went missing and I had to ask the security at the main door had my taxi arrived.

We asking for rent car from the reception and they support us in this request and all our stay in this hotel move smooth and there is parking behind the hotel just 2$ for day and security take care of it. Breakfast very good

Room small. Cooking smiling in the second floor could be closed the restaurant in the first floor. If you open the window, you will face problem from the mosquito.

Excellent location. Cleanliness. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed/room. Excellent breakfast.

Had a side view that gave to a very close ugly building, the lack of light curtains forced me to close the heavy curtains all the time I was in the room which made it dark and depressing.

The management won’t let you bring food or drinks purchased elsewhere into the building. So if you want something that is not on their menu, you’re out of luck or you must leave their premises.

The hotel Carlton was a great place to stay for our week visiting the archaeological sites of Carthage. It is located between the Medina and not too far from Carthage. Thanks to its location on the Av. Habib Bourguiba cars (taxis) can stop in front or you take a short walk to the Marina station for the tram to Carthage. The Medina is at walking distance. The hotel personnell is really friendly and always there to help you with questions. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Breakfast can be taken the whole morning and the buffet is varied. All in all a great stay

There was one downside, but even that one is understandable. We had to leave one morning at 7h. Breakfast starts at 6h, but it appeared bread was deliverd at 6h45. Luckily there is ample choice to have a good breakfast without bread.

Stayed at this hotel as it was in the top 10 on Trip Advisor and it was recommended by a YouTube blogger. The checkin process was very quick and easy and the hotel offered Airport transfer for 60 TND for two people which was quite extortionate considering Bolt only charge 15 TND. The entrance was very nice and modern, no complaints there and they had complimentary sweets that was presented well. The room was ok, fairly standard nothing to be overly excited about but value for money. We had complimentary water in the room and all the lights worked but a little confusing. The design was welcoming and the decor was pleasing to the eye. TV signal was great and all the channels worked. The best part about the stay was the breakfast, the setup was very boutique and high class with plenty of options, I would stay again just to have the breakfast again. We managed to get a table on the balcony and it was a great cosmopolitan experience. Having breakfast while the sun was coming up was awesome.

I didn't like the inflated Airport transfer costs at 30TND per person. Tip: Get a Bolt for 15TND for 4 people in the day time and 19TND in the evenings or 30TND after midnight. Plenty available on the app.

The hotel is in a very good location. The location is safe and has plenty of cafes and restaurants (I wouldn't recommend the restaurants around the hotel, though) Reception staff was (mostly) very friendly and always willing to give us valuable tips. There was only one exception where a reception sraff communicated roudly when we wanted to buy some dinars from the hotel. He didn't have patience for our questions. May be because it was near the end of his shift, and he was tired. The breakfast had good varieties and the staff was very nice and active. The place was always clean. one of the wonderful things there is that the breakfast restaurant has 4 small balconies, each has a table for 2. The balconies were on the main street. I loved taking my breakfast there. Breakfast starts daily at 6 am, which is great for those who want to start the day early to travel to other Tunesien cities or catch a flight. However, the only problem was that there would not be bread available that early. Last day the bread arrived at 06:32am, which was useless for me. I was already finished and had to go. The room service was very good. The room has been cleaned daily. What catched my attention was how the room service staff was willing to provide the best service. After the first night, I addressed a complaint to the receptionist in the morning on my way out. When I came back, I found the room lady Madam Chafika provided us with two solutions for the problem. Unfortunately, because of some language barrier, I didn't describe the problem correctly at the reception. So I explained to her the real issue. She then came directly to the room and solved it. Ten minutes later, she knocked on the door and propsed an even better solution. Such a dedicated customer service was really appreciated. Every day in the morning, when she sees us in the corridor, she asks if we are happy with the room.

Sound isolation could have been better: Loud guests in the corridor. Another guest kept coughing a whole night. We heard them as if they were in our room.

Everything was super in the Hotel Carlton! Since it was my first visit to Tunis, this played a very big role in creating my impression of the country. The stuff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is delicious and has variety of food. Hotel Carlton is situated in the heart of the capital of Tunis, in Avenue Habib Bourguiba, so you can easily walk to see the old Medina, the monument Ibn Khaldun, the Catholic Cathedral, the Theatre, etc. I really feel happy to have stayed 6 wonderful nights at Hotel Carlton and strongly recommend you to do the same. Thank you!

We were forced to stay a day in Tunis due to the cancellation of our flight by Easyjet, but it gave us the opportunity to have a wonderful stay at Tunis. The location of the hotel is perfect and right in the centre of town. The medina and train stations are a short walk away. The train station for the trains to Sidi Bou Said and Carthage is a short walk away. Taxis are also easily available right outside the hotel. The airport is also nearby, but since we left early morning for our flight, we pre-booked our taxi for a flat charge. The promenade outside the hotel is beautiful and great for a evening walk and there were sufficient dining options even on a Sunday evening. Sidi Bou Said is worth a visit and we enjoyed our visit. We did not have the time to visit Carthage
