The most beautiful place in America, part 2

The most beautiful place in America, part 2

Updated August 2, 2023

Alex and I visited Snow Canyon State Park during our trip to Utah, and it literally took our breath away. Having grown up in the Midwest, we aren’t accustomed to seeing red rocks, mountains, and desert. Our time in Vegas has given us a taste of that kind of landscape, but Utah really blew our minds. Below is a collection of my favorite photos of our visit to the park. (If you missed part 1 with photos of Kayenta)

Snow Canyon State Park

Our shadows in the sand dunes. I didn't know the park had sand dunes, and they were fun to play in!

I dont' know why I was so amazed to see sand in a desert.

Yes, I drew that in the sand. Yes, I'm a dork.

The scenery truly amazed me.

The classic self portrait.

This short trail was my favorite one. On one area of the rock, there are pioneer names written in axle grease.

Alex loves 'freestyle walking.'

I'm looking up to where the names are written. I can't imagine how they scaled that rock wall to write their names.

Names from the late 1800s written in axle grease. This blew my mind because I'm a history lover.

Lava flows.

A beautiful view.

We're about ready to buy a house in Utah.

This was taken back at our hotel, from the roof. We don't get clear views of the moon and stars back in Vegas. One of my favorite parts of our Utah trip was the stargazing.

What’s the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?
