Parador de Teruel

The parador rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The building is set in its own large grounds, with plenty of parking and a swimming pool.

While very comfortable and quite grand, the parador was a little characterless. I understand that it was built in the 1950s or 60s (i.e., under the Franco regime). A more serious problem is that it was built on the main road passing Teruel - which was very logical at the time - but it is not easy to find if you are travelling on the new motorway. It did not help that the road access to Teruel is currently seriously disrupted by the closure of one of the main bridges to the town.

Location is good, room was clean and bed was very comfy. Evening meal was good. About 10 min drive from central Teruel which was definitely worth a visit.

We had a slot for breakfast from 1000 to 1100. We got there at 1005, and although there was quite alot of choice, there was no fresh bread. When we asked we were given some quite stale slices. Not what we'd expect from a Parador. We also weren't asked if we wanted any Hot item. Just felt they weren't bothered with the later sitting, but they gave us the slot.

Ideal for overnight stay as the hotel is just 1 minute off the motorway! Parking is available right outside as easy parking. Rooms are large and well equipped . ! Evening meal was included in price. Starter soup stew was amazing and traditional choices for main courses. breakfast included lots of pastry options and cooked to order breakfast! Hotel staff were all very friendly and hotel overall was much better than the reviews I read ! Before we arrived! Would recommend

The rooms were spacious, with good seating and a desk for working. Very high ceilings. Good views from our window. One member of our party was ill for an entire day (unrelated to the Parador!), and was comfortable staying in the room for 24 hours.

The kitchen was under construction, so the breakfast buffet was very limited and understaffed. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was quite good, with friendly evening staff.

Beautiful parador close to the town in a lovely parkland setting. We had a standard room which a good size, very clean and comfortable and pretty. Good sized bathroom with a proper hairdryer and very large soft bath towels. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. The pool area and tennis courts looked fabulous although we didn’t have time to try them.

We upgraded to a suite which was very large, very comfortable and very well equipped. The staff were very efficient and friendly though the hotel was understaffed.

The standard and superior rooms are very small and box like due to the design of the original building. The location is a couple of miles from Teruel and on the slip road to the motorway. The pool was closed by mid September even though it was 25degrees. Overall this is a function Parador rather than a wow factor stay.

A classic building, clean and well maintained, Very good facilities, plenty of parking. Convenient position between motorway and the town. Well positioned for those needing an overnight stop in transit. Food very good. The evening BBQ meal in the gardens was a very pleasant change from the usual restaurant meal, and well worth it. Overall good value for money.

Arrived late midday but staff still accommodated us for lunch.

A really lovely Parador in a rural setting and considering it was mid August still maintained the country feel. Rooms at the front of Hotel can be subject to early morning traffic mainly the noisy scooters, but our trusty ear[lugs eliminated that

Quietly hospitable environment. No unnecessary frills. Charming, unobtrusive attention of all staff encountered. Excellent quality of products used by chef's team.

Mildly disappointed in the coffee served at breakfast-time. Rather at odds with the rest of our experience.

We were very impressed by the welcome we received, the tranquil atmosphere, a very comfortable bed, pristine linen, the sumptuous breakfast.

Our evening meal was a little disappointing….after a very early start to the day and a long journey, having to wait until 8.30pm for the restaurant to open was tricky but this is the norm in Spain. Our main courses were cold, a shame when the ingredients were of a high quality.
