Room was very good with balcony overlooking the harbour breakfast was exceptional the scrambled eggs and bacon were the best i have eaten in a long time

We booked a table in restaurant at the reception desk for dinner when we arrived at restaurant only to be told no reservation was made however after conversations with reception the waitress on duty gave us a table (The restaurant was totally empty) she seemed very indignant that we had arrived and made every effort to get our meal served very quickly to get us out, the bill was presented without asking for it this is the only time i thought the service in this hotel was lacking

it’s convenient for the Ferries. Some areas to visit locally, and the train into Bilbao is a close option

This time we were disappointed with the room. We checked in early and reception promised us a balcony room at the reception level-after we specifically requested that. It’s not our first time at the hotel, more like the 20th. We left our bags and went for a walk, only to find we had been given another room in the basement, which was not able to be changed. This was very gloomy, and claustrophobic. Somehow we had been demoted again, I suspect by the new receptionist who had arrived in the interim.

Very nice place, all in all. The concierge was more than helpful. Food was well presented and tasty. Liked the fact there were tea making facilities in the room.

Parking was a wee bit expensive and access to the car park and hotel could have been better sign posted when accessing from the road when driving. Bit of a tight squeeze parking but that is due to its location. The only down side and this isn't really the hotels fault is directs to the ferry port are quite poor. If we hadn't had GPS it would have been a nightmare.

The fact that they allow pets is a plus for travellers like me that like to have their 4 legs friend with him. On arrival was a bowl with food and a small treat..what an amazing gesture. The hotel is really amazing. Staff is friendly although could notice some staff shortage for the amount of business but suppose that is the hospitality problem everywhere. Would definitely recommend and repeat The hotel actually exceeded my expectations.

Bar closing at 10.30. Might be for staff shortage but after 10.30 there is nothing else in the hotel..guests need to go to nearby pubs.

Location was good - especially when able to sit outside for breakfast & more especially, an evening drink. The location was perfect for driving on to the ferry on final morning - just 15 minutes direct to the port. Also of note, was the easy access to the METRO - a few minutes walk away with regular train into Bilbao for sightseeing. (In this regard - we found no reason to stay around the town where the hotel itself is located - our one short walk in the area was quite boring). Breakfast, Bar and Restaurant food (in the evening) were all fine - no need to think of looking elsewhere. Prices and service were as expected - nothing out of the ordinary.

A previous user had suggested that a superior room was worth the extra money. We booked the superior room but were quite disappointed with the room size - although I guess it had some extra facilities. Staying 3 nights; I thought it would be worth paying the extra....but I am not really sure now! That said, if staying just one night before the ferry, I doubt a superior room would be required anyway.

This is a great dog friendly hotel and its staff were all very welcoming to us and our dog. We had a big room with a balcony which was great for our dog. when we arrived in the room there was a ton of dog food with a bowl and some bags.

The outside terrace area wasn’t kept very well. There was rubbish on the floor. Food options for vegetarians were very limited, if none at all. Breakfast was ok but not great.

This hotel was a little more expensive than we had paid for in other locations. It is extremely imposing and we had a free room upgrade. The rooms are beautiful and we had a great view from the front of the hotel. We paid for the breakfast on the morning we left for the ferry and were not disappointed. The metro and buses to Bilbao are only a short distance away as is the famous bridge. Great place to explore but very "hilly" . The ferry port was only five minutes away. There was secure underground parking. (At an extra cost)

lovely large property, at good location with garage parking on premises. accepts pets, and if I would have had a dog, it would have been made extra welcome with the treat they left. however I had a cat, they knew about it before hand and didn’t change anything…10/10 for effort, 2/10 for execution. lovely view to wake up to with the big window!

room was extremely hot!!! turned off the heating, had to keep the window open, but sadly outside was a tram that was running until late at night.

It looks amazing. Good photo opportunities inside and out. Great location for using ferry. Had car park which was very useful.

seems to be ‘a thing’ in Spain that hotels don’t do evening meals on Sundays. If that’s your day of arrival make sure you stop for a good lunch somewhere before arriving. Some of the reception girls seemed a bit cool and disinterested but it is possible they were new trainees.

Excellent place! Spacious, clean and the workers were great! The bed was ultra big and very comfy! I really liked the location because it is close to Bilbao and at 10 min walk there is a metro station that brings you directly to Bilbao. We came by car but during our stay we didn’t use it due to the efficient public transport!
