Universal Hotel Marqués

Room was lovely, clean and beds were very comfortable. Food was excellent. Lots of choice, fresh and delicious. Location was fabulous.

Having to pay to reserve sunbeds was very disappointing. The fact that people could reserve sunbeds for a week in advance and not use them is very frustrating and wrong on the hotel. There could be a much fairer way of allocating the sunbeds and I feel that charging for them is awful when you are already paying premium prices to stay there. Also.. paying for water with dinner is disgusting, the charge for a bottle of water that is clearly filled from a tap is so very wrong.

Amazing location just at the beginning of El trenc beach! Very clean room and other facilities Friendly staff working hard and fast, and very helpful, especially at the reception

* Breakfast has a big choice but poor quality: more german food than mallorcan / spanish; fruits don't have a taste (peach was smelling with fish, I am guessing it was put in a bowl which was not properly washed?), pancakes are very oily (should be done without oil) and not nicely presented.... * German oriented. I spoke Spanish to the stuff and they spoke German to me back (I am not German) - I guess it's a huge advantage for the German speaking tourists which are in majority there. * Swimming pool outdoor not so inviting... clean but everywhere there is concrete (floor, walls around...)

The property has two private beaches, that are just beautiful. It leaves you spellbound to say the least, blue tranquil waters, when the sea is calm. Es trenc, with 15 mins drive and Cala Llombards and Figueria within close vicinity, 30 mins by drive. The location wins the most points and the food, that the staff offers in morning and evening, has different menu, each day. You also get to experience and taste the best sea food, and enjoy it with a sea view, while being seated in the breakfast/dinner room. The staff at the bar and reception, meet all your needs and queries, friendly and helpful. It was a great experience, living at universal hotel marquees. Love, Love, Loved it :)

The location is amazing, spot on!

The location is amazing with astounding see view overlooking the crystal clear waters of the bay. You just walk out and you jump straight into the sea. Staff is very kind, helpful and professional. The food at the restaurant is great.

Internet connection shaky and unreliable with several connection drops and difficulty to connect. I even bought the premium connection which was slightly faster but it had the same connection drops and unreliability. It can be a show stopper for digital nomads who need a fast, reliable internet in order to work

Superb location, close to a couple of beaches and 20 minutes away from Es Trenc, walking distance. The staff was very helpful and nice. Our room was facing the sea and we could hear the chilling sounds of the waves while sleeping. On the check out they allow us to use a courtesy room where we could have a shower so we had the chance to enjoy the last day at the seaside even if we left the room. Definitely relaxing time.

The elevator was desperately slow for the amount of people in the hotel

Fabulous location right on the beach. Great view from the room. Breakfast & dinner buffets were both amazing.

This is not a criticism of the property, perhaps it was the wrong time of year (we were there at the end of March) but not many restaurants were open in town so dining options were limited.

Nice staff, great location and awesome view, clean hotel overall (including the pool area), big rooms, variety at breakfast, flamenco shows every Thursday, precautions taken against covid, great drinks at the bar with ok prices.

For a 4 stars hotel it is not ok to have these things missing from the room: coffee maker, more pillows and blankets in the closet, iron, cutlery if you want to make yourself a cup of tea and a sandwich in the room, no slippers, no bathrobes. Also paying for sunbeds at the pool in order to reserve them for the day/week...not ok.

Brilliant location. Quiet not over commercialised area nice walk into village. Hotel surrounded by the sea on three sides. Great to sit out on balcony of an evening to watch fantastic sunsets and listen to the sea lapping on the shore. There are two beaches either side of hotel as well with crystal clear water. Buffet food excellent. Huge variety of dishes. Excellant attentive staff who appear to speak several languages There is very limited parking if you have a car.. You can park on the street for free as long as you park on the blue lines only.

If you like sitting on the beach or at the pool all day this hotel is ideal. However there is not alot of things to do if you do not have transport.

I really enjoyed my stay in there. The breakfast and dinner buffet were really good with a lot of options and variety during the week. The location is good, just next to the beach. It’s a great option for couples and families that wish to relax. I didn’t know when I got there, but you can get beach parasol for free at the reception of the hotel. Also, because we checked in late, there was a small plate with food prepared for us when we got there. That was super nice!

The hotel is next to the beach but there’s nothing else. There’s a supermarket, few stores and that’s it.

very nice view if you take room with seaside views. big variety of breakfast. some ingredients from my point of view are not top quality but you are in a 200 rooms hotel. very close to 2 beaches, one bug and ine more cozy very friendly staff, attentive and you feel home

there are not many sun beds , so if you do not book, (which you pay) you will end up in a chair taking some sunbath. i think they need to find a balance for those who do not wish to book their coffee is NOT good… very bad to be honest..
