We chose this hotel for its outstanding location on the Rambla down towards the seafront. We expected that location, and the price we paid, meant some compromise on comfort or whatever, but that turned out not to be the case. All was good. The bathroom was excellent, not at all what one expects in an old building. Our room was on the side with the window opening to a covered walkway. Reasonably quiet. We thought the breakfast very good, with a lot of choice and everything of good quality. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A bit of competition for the elevator. Our room was on the first floor, which turned out to be three floors up from the reception, but the lovely old staircase was always a treat; we only used the elevator with luggage.

The bed and shower, the friendly staff, and the price/quality relation. For the price you pay you have a real good room, even though it looks a bit dated. Also, the breakfast was really nice and cozy - despite being simple.

On my last night someone tried to enter my room and woke me up. I know it's not the hotel's fault - but it was the 1st time this ever happened to me.

This hotel is right in the middle of the action on Las Ramblas, which is incredibly convenient. Our adult children are coming to Barcelona this summer, and we will definitely recommend it. The staff was extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and helping us navigate the transportation. We also appreciated the included breakfast and the little terrace/patio that was outside our room. We appreciated the fast internet connection as well. Since we arrived early from our cruise departure, our luggage was stored at the hotel and they had a salon we could use to relax and get our bearings before heading out to tourist activities.

Cuatros Naciones is a little bit faded glory in terms of it's decor. If you are looking for a brand-new and modern hotel -- this probably isn't it -- but the value for the price and the convenience make up for it.

Located right on La Rambla. We had 3 rooms, and the 2 rooms facing La Rambla had nice views but was noisy until wee hours, my other family couldn't sleep.. Too much partying on the streets. I had a room on other side of hotel which was quiet but no views. Their breakfast was pretty good, continental style breakfast with some hot items such as potatoes similar to hashbrown, scrambled eggs, sausages. You can walk to the cruise port about 8 mins walk and take the cruise shuttle bus for about $3 euros from outside the port to the cruise terminal, but we had a family of 12 so we took taxis and they drove is directly from hotel to the Royal Caribbean terminal. We figured the price was about the same, saved us from walking around with luggages and children.

This is the Best Place to Stay! You cannot beat the location, it's right in the middle of everything, restaurants, markets, shopping, metro and bus lines, plus close to the Beach!! I would recommend this place over and over again for someone on a limited budget to Barcelona. The breakfast (included), I mean full-on breakfast was Awesome!! This hotel does not skimp on anything! They clean your room daily, the breakfast again cannot be beaten, the location-Outstanding. Best find ever!!!

If you could add instructions on how to get from the Airport to the Hotel, that would be wonderful, especially for first-time travelers to Barcelona. Basically, go down to T1 area, take Aerobus (pay a ticket with the service agent there) to La Rambla (the last stop for this bus). Get off the bus and walk past Footlocker toward the Plaza. Keep walking and you will see the Hotel on the left side. Backtrack for departure to the Airport.

This place is close to so much, La Rambla (but room was inward facing so no noise kept me awake at night) on the door step and a hop on hop off bus stop a few mins away. I had a single room and was worried it would be a nightmare - I was wrong it was quite a good room and the bed was comfy & clean 😊 I'd go back here.

A tiny issue of needing some help to call a Spanish number because I couldnt understand the person but gentleman on front desk just told me to call from my room he couldn't help... The only negative thing was this 30 second interaction otherwise this place is good value.

The location is the highlight of this hotel .Near La Rambla and easy access to a lot of other places in the center. The facilities are decent and clean, its not a modern building but its maintained. Hotel room was clean.

The breakfast is not great. Very basic. The fruits they put out where not all fresh. Retrospectively, I would have booked without the breakfast and gotten breakfast at a bakery just outside the hotel. The breakfast is not value for money. The blankets for the beds, were not freshly cleaned they were a bit dusty like they were in storage somewhere dusty.

Great, convenient location on La Rambla. Historic hotel that has had its share of famous patrons over more than a century. Easy access to public transportation, and a short walk to the Gothic Quarter. Our cruise ship was docked at the World Trade Center just a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast room had all of the basics one would need or expect.

Being on La Rambla usually means that the noise of the crowds from late evening through the very early morning hours will be an issue for some, especially on the weekend. But that's part of the late night, fun-loving culture of Barcelona.

This hotel was amazing. The location is prime, right on the main drag, there was no shortage of people watching or activities within only a few steps of the hotel. The staff made the stay even better with awesome food recommendations, giving some pointers on how to avoid the crowds and over all top staff. If you're looking for 5 stars and boogie, this is not your place, if your looking for a niche and unique to Barcelona, I would highly recommend it.

Just needs a bit more attention paid to cleaning.

Location! Just a few minutes to the Liceu metro line. Right in the center, a beautiful and vibrant area. The hotel is very modest but has its own charm. Extremely friendly staff. Clean and tidy. The room was basically equipped but very clean. Unfortunately, we didn't have a view from the window, but thanks to that, it was quiet at night. A great place, a very successful trip.

What I didn't like? Very modest breakfasts. However, it's not a reason to complain. It was tasty and pleasant.
