Hotel Croydon

We really enjoyed our stay. The room is comfortable, the beds are great and it's really close to the beach. It also has a very nice pool and terrace. The staff, in general, were friendly and helpful.

The hotel does not have a luggage storage service. We arrived at seven in the morning and had to pay for early check-in as we couldn't leave our bags stored at the hotel and do something else. Also, drinks in the room are extremely expensive. We paid twenty dollars for the consumption of three water bottles.

Staff was amazing. Wonderful to have the restaurant on site for breakfast and coffee in the AM and then drinks in the PM. The rooftop was AMAZING. Beds and pillows comfortable

I could hear everything from the surrounding rooms and in the hallways. Room smelled a little musty but was clean. Breakfast service on Saturday was odd…not the same joyful energy from Friday morning. Took awhile to be taken care of Saturday. Construction surrounding the hotel. Made it difficult getting Uber.

The hospitality is great, the manager Carlos was awesome and beach location is great.The pool on the property was convenient and clean they also have complimentary champagne in every room on a elegant display. Available Refreshments "CUCUMBER WATER" for everyone. Let me not forget happy hour, great company and food. I would diffinitely go back oneday. When it comes to traveling around town from there, the trolly is at the corner/ across the street. It's the best way to travel and sight see at the same time while traveling on a piece of art.

No Available Parking for customers,only street metered. Decent parking 8 blocks away at a great price. Its a 10 min walk from the property.

location was excellent, that’s why we booked. Rooms were comfortable and reception staff Claudia & Anna were lovely.

it was mainly the bar (The Tavern) linked to the hotel that we didn’t like. We sat at the bar the first night and had a few drinks - I asked for a gin & tonic and he got the gin from a clear bottle under the counter. they used the same bottle for the free happy hour drinks for guests too. when we got our bill the barman put through my gins as Tanquary which it wasn’t so I queried it with him. He said that some times they put the Tanquary into clear bottles and keep under the counter I said I wasn’t happy and he apologised went away and got a bottle of Tanquary and offered me a free Tanquary which I refused - there was no offer to refund me the difference so we decided not to spend a penny in the place after that. I hate getting ripped off.

stayed in a king room which was great, everything was clean and comfortable. the beach access nearest to the hotel was close and the area was more quiet than further down the strip. got a massage at the spa that was wonderful. walking distance to LIV and other popular clubs. the rooftop had beautiful views and comfortable lounge chairs.

very misleading that the description says “0.1 miles from ocean drive.” (on the hotels website) it is about a 40 minute walk to the area of ocean drive that has any of the fun iconic Miami bars (palace, the Clevelander, Etc.) luckily ubers were cheap in the area. also they apparently don’t hold luggage on weekends so we were expected to drag our luggage around all day from check out until our flight at 8 pm. we luckily found a place that charged $6 to hold our luggage but had to Uber there (again, down at the busy part of ocean drive).

Location and the hospitality of the hotel

The restaurant hospitality was pretty bad. Servers were rude but good food. We also didn’t like the fact that every time we asked for hot water we get questioned why.

I loved the pool and the uniqueness of the hotel. It was also nice to get free drinks for happy hour downstairs at the restaurant for being a guest. The manager Roberto and Luis made our stay very comfortable and plesant.

I didn't like the parking situation. It was either park at your own risk or pay for expensive parking that was blocks away which meant that you would have to drop off your bags at check out then park and then walk blocks back to get back to the hotel.

Very nice decor. Hotel clean, smells very nice and the staff are very friendly and pleasant.

The rooms need better lighting. While the dim lights added to the overall mood of the hotel, it was very difficult to get dressed and ready without adequate lighting in the room. We turned on every light and because of the soft light bulbs and the location of only two small desk lamps, we could not get the room any brighter.

Spring break crowd noisy. Staff did good job policing them after complaint. Parking (none). Do search for $8 parking which is 10 minute walk away.

Very nice quiet hotel located close to the beach and trolley service. Convenient to sites in South Beach area. Nice restaurant located in the hotel. Overall nice experience.

I had an issue with the fact that there was no coffee in the hotel. No coffee pot in the room and no set up in the lobby! The restaurant doesn't open until around 9:00 am and I am not sure if they had coffee either. There is a store/cafe just down the street where you can purchase coffee and breakfast sandwiches.
