Very good location in the center, on a quiet street which means you can actually sleep well at night and even open the window. The common area is a real plus, clean and cosy. The room is also nice and very clean, with a nice view and small balcony. I had some work meetings to do there and it was great to have a small desk, chair and good wifi in the room.

They put lots of perfume in the room when you first check-in, and at some point you understand they do so because the bathroom has some sewer odors sometimes. Also, the "double bed" is actually two single beds put together ; one of the mattress was very comfy, one was horrible.

The rooms were very modern looking and very clean. I felt the location was very central to the rest of the downtown Lisbon area and amenities. The bathrooms were very sanitary and the water pressure and temperature was also very good to shower with. A map with local sights and popular areas to explore was also available at the front desk. All front desk staff spoke very good English and communicated well.

The Central House allowed new guests to check in at very late times of the night (10:45pm) which disturbed guests who were already settled in trying to sleep for the night. There was also no early check-in allowed despite my room being nearly empty upon arrival. Having a free temporary early bag-check would help guests who arrive with early morning flights, or having earlier check-in times than 3pm would also help.

Great Hostal, not for party(which is what I wanted) and it was amazing location! Very hesitant to know where to stay in Lisbon but this was the perfect area. Very clean rooms and bathroom was cleaned at least once that i noticed. But very nice. Didn't even realised shared rooms had their own bathroom which was even better!

Only had one problem with my locker. It didn't work and after complaining I was told it was going to be fixed and it never was ): Staying in a hostel you know not to bring fancy or very important stuff anyways but it would have been nice to be able to use that. The rest of the room seemed perfect on that though

Although the hotel is currently in the process of replacing its beds, the work is being carried out in a very professional and quiet manner. All the staff are exceptionally friendly, and I had the pleasure of meeting the hotel manager, who is a truly wonderful person. I would like to express my gratitude for the delightful conversation we shared. The hotel’s location is incredibly central, making it very convenient. It absolutely deserves a perfect 10 out of 10. The breakfast was excellent as well.

The property is cleaned everyday which I appreciated the most! They also organise events on a weekly basis like: wine tasting, live music and comedy nights. The breakfast was abundant and tasty. The staffs were polite and helpful! The location is super central, I saved a lot on transport money to visit the places of interest.

There’s smell coming out of the ventilation and from inside the bathroom that makes the whole room smell bad. Good thing the weather is still reasonable to keep windows open. Weird that overall the spaces are super clean, but the cushion seats at the co-working area/lobby are a bit filthy to sit comfortably on.

Excellent location in the center of the town where you do not even have to take public transport. Staff is super friendly and happy to help in any way possible and always with a smile. The bed I got into the 4-person room was comfortable. I also like a lot the fact that the beds are not really facing each other so you have some sort of a privacy as well.

Maybe it would be good to offer as well a locker for storing our items. Also with so many people from many places, adding some vegan options for the breakfast it would be good (I did not opt for the breakfast because of that to be honest).

In the shared room I was in, we had individual curtains for our bed which was great to cut out light and provide privacy. Helpful staff and I was able to leave my luggage on the day of checkout and return to get it since I had a late checkout. I didn't hear noise from neighbors in other rooms or the street below. Fantastic location close to restaurants, Metro, and more.

Check in could take a while depending on how many people showed up. They only had one person processing check in when I arrived but other days they had 2. Locking the drawer underneath my bed was challenging. I had a variety of locks including a cable lock and a small padlock. The mechanism is to turn and lock. Several of my locks were not effective at securing it.

Wonderful location, extremely clean rooms, comfortable beds, decent breakfast.

I’ve been waiting till I check out to write this. Staff (lady) at the reception on 4 august at 11am- you were terribly rude for absolutely nothing. I made the grave error of taking a hand sanitiser that was at the desk. She literally yelled at my for ‘reaching out’ to her area and taking HER sanitiser. Are you kidding me? Over 700 euros paid in room rent for 7 days and I get berated in public for attempting to use one pump of hand sanitiser. Appeal to the owner - don’t keep people who have such terrible manners at the front desk. She should NOT BE dealing with people. Being insulted and spoken to rudely for nothing is not acceptable.

The location is in Baxia, the best part of Lisbon in my opinion. Great restaurants and shops and seafront/riverfront. And more importantly for my 76 year old mother on the flat! The central House is on a quiet street just off there. Brilliant. The staff - lovely friendly and just the right amount of engagement.

The carpets in the landings would be better changed for hard flooring, they are stained. No kettle in the room - but we brought our own, so an easy fix.

I had a fantastic stay at Central House Lisboa Baixa Hostel. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The breakfast was generous and delicious—perfect to start the day. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the city with easy access to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. Highly recommend.

The only downside was that the blow-dryer in my suite wasn’t working, and the front desk did not have a backup I could use.
