Scandic Lerkendal

The breakfast was great. The rooms were as expected and clean. This hotel is good and just half an hour walk from Nidarosdomen and town center. Parking area in front of - and under the hotel. Free coffee in the reception erea :-)

Missing towels at one room when we came late in the evening and wanted to take a shower. Had to go to the reception area and pick them up our selves. Water boiler at the rooms but no powder coffee. They were not able to see that I have booked both roooms for my family and claimed I have only booked one room. These are small things, but when you arrive late and are tired it feels big.

Gym was excellent, breakfast was very tasty and lots of choice. We need on Glutenfree (mandatory, not optional) and this was catered for very wel. The view from our room on the 17nd floor was nice.

The parking is somewhat complicated. To the front street parking is full time and expensive, to the side parking is weekdays, office hours only and limited to 3 hours. Parking inside is the most expensive option (300NOK/24h). When the side is full it's recommended to use the university parking SINTEF one block up. It's free outside office hours but inside office hours you need to pay at the machine, the Easypark app cannot be used. The bunk beds are limited to 80kg. So family room should be taken with to too big teenagers...

Exceptional staff. Very professional and impeccable service. Breakfast was past luxury cruise ship level. Incredible value and will return and be first choice on my return. Buss pass to downtown is 12 bucks for 24 hours. Public transportation is amazing

Very nice that we could rent bikes for free. Good breakfast, nice room, helpful staff.

The shower was too drafty. There was a ventilation duct directly above the shower, and the ventilation was quite strong. This means that while showering we were standing inside a chilling breeze that made us feel cold no matter how hot water we were using. There should be a way to turn the ventilation off/down temporarily while showering to avoid this. There should be a way to lock the twin beds together so that they don't slide away from eachother and create a gap.

Everything was fine, Staff was nice, pretty clean and comfortable.

I was surprised by breakfast, Scandic usually serves a high quality breakfast. I was super disappointed when the food was cold and tasteless. Not just a bit cold, like super cold. Pancakes looked like they have been there for several days. Left breakfast buffet hungry.

We´v stayed for the second time at Scandic Lerkendal and we´v enjoyed it very much, again! almost a perfect handicap room. very good restaurant and perfect breakfast buffet! We had a technical emergency with the wheelchair, so the hotel stuff was extremly helpful and saved our holidays! Thank you so much! we will see us again!

It was a bit dusty, and the soap/body lotion was a bit dirty.

Great location - the airport bus stops right at the entrance. it's a bit away from the city center, but close to the university. so depends on the purpose of the visit, it can be very convenient. also the staff is very nice and the breakfast was amazing

the room is a bit small and basic - might be not so comfortable for longer stays

The rooms were comfortable, and it was close to all facilities one might need. They had parking which was nice since we arrived by car and the reception was open at all times making a late book-in nice.

The breakfast was time-slotted which made it a bit less flexible and gave a sense of overbooking.

The rooms, the location, the staff.

The waiting time for the elevators, over 15 min sometimes. The hotel policy is to have only people from the same family in the elevator or solo persons. Maybe it would be better to impose the wearing of the masks instead. A lot of energy consumed. Crowded restaurant for breakfast, even if split on 4 groups because of the number of travellers.
