Saga Hotel Oslo; BW Premier Collection

During our stay at the hotel, we were struck by its exceptional cleanliness. I had one chance to witness the cleaning staff in action, and noticed how thoroughly she cleaned. We really appreciated it. The breakfast area is modest and cozy, and the staff are very friendly.

The hotel seems to cater primarily to Northern European heights. If you are under 160cm, you need to stand on tiptoe when you hanging up the towels, using the magnifying glass, seating on the toilet, etc. This was a pattern we noticed not only at this hotel but also during our stays at various hotels in Norway.

The room was quiet. The breakfast was good, we appreciate that it seemed to be good quality food, we liked the location too. Afterwards we’ve been in other hotels in Norway and this one was the best price quality for us and the room where it was easier to sleep (quieter).

As we arrived the “welcome” of one of the woman was quite cold, tells us almost nothing, no word about important things like wifi for exemple and when we ask she seems to be quite annoyed so we didn’t felt welcome at all on the first place. But the other woman and the manager that we met other days were nicer and helps us to check the train situation etc.

Every single staff member was outstanding. Our room was a good size. The hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood with easy access to all parts of Oslo with a tram stop just around the corner and easy walking to shops & restaurants. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to central station but the tram is an easy alternative. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. The work desk is an added bonus. Bathroom is a good size and functional. Breakfast was the best that we have experienced so far in any of the Scandinavian countries and cities. Our special thanks to Marius and Jacob for making our stay exceptional. This will be our go to hotel whenever we are in Oslo.

Parking is a bit limited but we managed to have a good spot so we didn't move the car for the 4 days that we stayed. There is additional parking at the hotel's apartments just around the corner but it was nice to park right outside the hotel. We had a small issue with our sink plug not working but we were there over the Constitution long weekend so spare parts weren't available for the repair. Not a big issue.

Really beautiful smaller hotel in quiet area in Oslo. Our room was small but beautifully decorated and felt lush and romantic. More of an adult vibe than for kids. They also have apartments available which are probably better suited for families. Breakfast was amazing and free with the booking. Also there was free parking, although there are only 7 spots at the hotel and 10 at the apartments (about 4 blocks away). We were able to get a parking spot at the apartments, which was fine.

I booked here because it had "free parking", but the parking is first come first serve. I tried to get a spot reserved or some type of response / information re: whether or not I'd get a spot and they were not communicative prior to getting there, which generated some nervousness re: where to park a car. The people working at the front desk were lovely regardless. I would specify the first come first serve in the directions on the website and how many spots they have, just a suggestion.

The atmosphere and the bedrooms were very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The free parking is subject to availability, which means there was not enough space in the first day, because too many guests had cars. Also, when I entered my room, it had not been cleaned after the last guest used it, meaning towels, bedsheet, trash can and cups were all over the place. Luckily they had another room ready.

We had a comfortable stay and the location worked for us as it was not right in the city centre. The free parking was very good as we were driving around Scandinavia. Lots of fabulous restaurants around that was very handy for dinner. Front desk staff were helpful especially Guro who was exceptionally professional and very friendly and approachable

To get to the reception there is a flight of steps making it difficult to carry luggage upstairs to the reception. After that there are lifts to the rooms

Great, quiet area, a bit out of the busy centre but close enough to bars and cafes. Lovely, big and clean room and bathroom. Bed very comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and had lots of choices, especially the choice of coffee and pastry. Different selection every morning as well. At checkout staff was happy to allow us to stay in the lobby for as long as we needed to avoid the heavy rain and offered us tea and coffee. Would definitely stay again.

The Saga was the perfect choice for our visit to Oslo. Our room was comfortable, clean, attractive,and quiet. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is included and is wonderful. Perhaps the best thing about the Saga is the location. It is in a much calmer setting than the city center, but easily accessible to everything. We walked to most places. It is a two block walk to access Oslo’s fantastic transit system. Great connection to local attractions and the airport.

We liked everything.

A lovely room, comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. Your girl on days is fantastic. Loved that you had free umbrellas. We needed them. Swapped some books thanks. Very close to restaurants. Just at the edge of too far away from town. Depends where you are going. A walk to the palace and port and parliament. The sculpture park at Ekesbergarten was too far away. Took a taxi when there was a deluge and we got saturated. Loved Oslo and it was a lovely place to stay.

The hotel delivered as promised. Lovely, quiet residential neighborhood, away from the main tourist district, but easy to get almost anywhere on public transport. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning, which was first-rate. Staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. A small hotel, quiet and homey; the sort of hotel with an ambience that suited us very well.

No complaints. Dunno, maybe a few more hangars in the closet?
