The breakfast was amazing, They have some specialty eggs that were absolutely delicious. The complex itself is beautiful. They've taken a lot of time and effort to preserve the history of the building and their culture. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who's thinking about having a close location to downtown. I was able to park my car and walk to all of the restaurants and sites easily. It's a beautiful hotel it's small, but it's got a restaurant and a pool. Most of all it's just really beautiful. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

I didn't find anything unpleasant I wish I had stayed more time there.

Centrally located, historical building within walking distance of downtown attractions. Nice decor, small dipping pool. Good restaurant with excellent service.

I requested early check in. I was told I would be accommodated based on availability. Upon arriving early, staff confirmed available room however, made me wait an hour because of hotel policy. I would prefer to have been grated the early check in as it was available. Seems the only barrier was bureaucracy and inflexible policy.

This was our second stay (shorter) in the hotel within the same holiday; it's where we stayed in Merida while visiting Yucatan. We really liked the setting, so we went back; this time we stayed in a standard double room, as the suite we stayed before was already taken. It did suit us as well, as I've already reflected in the general review I've already done for both stays.

On coming back, we found out that an envelope we left for the breakfast service (waiters at the bar/restaurant) got lost and never got to them. It's a shame: the only "spot of bother" in an otherwise very good service. I'd recommend, if you want to tip the waiter/s, do it after breakfast (when it is included in the hotel price); the restaurant may be closed when you check out.

We stayed twice in this hotel: the first time 3 nights in their Master Room and as that one wasn't available when we came back, 2 nights in a standard double. This is a gem in the middle of Merida.: its tranquil setting, the restaurant (only used for breakfast) by the inner garden patio, the swimming pool, ... The main thing though is the kindness of its staff. And the valet parking, very convenient.

When we left the first time, as the restaurant was closed, I left an envelope for the main waitress who took care of our breakfast. Shame that it got lost and he never got it. I only found out about it because we came back for our last two nights in Merida.

it’s an architectural gem. unique in authentic character and charm. the staff are great and do everything they can to make you welcome and comfortable. some lovely furniture in the rooms and lighting is artfully designed.

aircon is fully under the control of the guest for each room, but the background machinery such as cooling units installed on the rooftop can start up at random points during the night, disrupting sleep with intrusive hums.

it’s a beautiful property. the staff is absolutely excellent and willing to help you at all your needs. it’s just two blocks to the Plaza where all action takes place at any time. it is quiet and elegant and very Mexican (including the religious decoration). breakfast was excellent and Don Florentino the El waiter was super. Carlos, Miguel and other persons at the main desk made our stay ver pleasant and easy.

maybe that it has too many religious ornaments around. but we knew that since it was an old convent.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel very close to the main plaza and market. This place is in a beautiful old convent. The streets of Merida can get hectic, and it was like finding an oasis in the desert to enter such a relaxing, calming place. At check in they gave us a free welcome drink, which was most appreciated! The area by the pool had hammocks and four comfortable chaise lounge chairs, and the pool was divine after a hot day pounding the pavement. I appreciated that our rooms were refreshed by housekeeping each day, the only place on our 3-week trip to do so. Comfortable, well appointed rooms. Valet parking so we didn't have to park the car on the street. Room #27 has a great view of the pool!

It would have been nice to have a refrigerator to keep water cold. Every place at every price on our three week stay had a small refrigerator in the room. This was the only place that didn't. We would have liked to have taken advantage of the restaurant, but the prices were too high, so it was always almost empty. There was one table by the pool that had four chairs, but only two of them had seats. They need to repair the other two so are more places to sit. And please, there should be a way to refill water bottles instead of giving us two more plastic water bottles every day.

Great location, a few minutes walk from the centre of Merida, and an interesting building. Very peaceful once you enter the hotel courtyards, away from the bustle of the city. Nice pool to cool off in after a day sight-seeing. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We had asked for rooms close together and were given 6, 16 and 26 - adjoining but vertical - very funny

This place could use some renovation My kids had the garden room but this room has no windows at all… If you want to have a beer or coffee at 4 pm, not possible at the hotel…

I liked the old school feel to the Mision, and the courtyard in front of the reception is beautiful. There's a swimming pool. The bedroom was big and the shower was also a good size. The Mision impressed me with their attention to detail - chocolates and water in rooms replaced daily, little histories, invites for tequila tasting, etc.

It's slightly expensive, relative to what you are getting. I would recommend wandering into town for breakfast in the mornings rather than eating in the Mision.
