Holiday Inn Express Oaxaca - Centro Historico, an IHG Hotel

We loved the location of the hotel which was super convenient and really appreciated having the pool on those very hot Oaxacan days, with a 4 years-old it was really a must. The room is relatively big and the service was good. The covered parking that was free for guests was also great since it was so sunny and hot while we were there.

The breakfast was relatively varied with hot and cold options but not of the best quality, in any case we were able to have a decent meal before hitting the streets for sight seeing. The beds were a little bit on the hard side but linens were comfortable and of excellent quality. The biggest downside for us was the fact that the rooms were not equipped with mini fridges which would have been nice only to put our water bottles in and perhaps to keep a few leftovers. The ice bucket and ice machine are very outdated features.

Everything! The area was quiet yet walking distance to the central area and restaurants and a nice park nearby. The staff were friendly and professional. Comfortable and clean rooms. We had a king suite, which was perfect for 4 nights. The breakfast buffet is the best I've had at a Holiday Inn, with very attentive staff and a beautiful outdoor terrace to eat breakfast. Also, it was easy to get change from the front desk for our larger bills. What we appreciated most was the Mexican influence at this property. The beautiful historical hotel made us feel we were in Oaxaca. We loved it and would return.

The internet was a little slow.

Room was spacious and exactly as advertised. the air conditioning was fully functional not one of the centrally controlled politically correct systems. but then that is why we picked holiday inn Oaxaca on the first place. Breakfast was very good with a reasonable selection of items and staff was attentive and helpful. They arranged a taxi hire for us too.

Did not like the dorky colliding bathroom door positioning.

Suite with BR separated from living room was huge. Nice touch for pillowcases to be labeled as to soft vs firm. Front desk very helpful. All staff, including housekeeping, unfailingly smiled and greeted you.

Lighting above table was terrible.

Spacious comfortable room/bed, great facilities throughout, spotlessly clean. Super breakfast and friendly staff (genuinely) from day 1 allowing us to take room early. Close enough to walk to Centro but away from noise. 👍👍

air con unit was very loud but that’s my only complaint. everything else was great

everything works, the staff is great and the location is quiet and still close to all the action without being in the action!

The breakfast staff were delightful and attentive. The front desk staff were always helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet area, yet close to everything, which was why I chose it.

Room quiet...absolutely no noise from other guests could be heard. Bed great. Air con great. Pool very nice. Breakfast a bit basic but perfect for us. Parking simple and efficiently organised. Small earthquake tremmor interupted one breakfast again staff were great.

Vending machines sell only JUNK Food & Beverages.....Must be operated by the Coca-Cola Company...Master Poisoners!
