Hotel Adria seems to be a family run business located a 10 minute walk up a main (but quiet) road from the train/bus station - friendly desk staff. Our room was on the main floor facing the road - but we didn't notice any noise while in the room. Clean, good size basically appointed hotel room. Didn't try the available breakfast - it can be arranged the day before for an extra charge (12 Euro p.p. in June 2023). Lots of coffee bars in the area for your "pastry / coffee" breakfast and several grocery stores / convenience stores along the main road for snacks/drinks. The main lounge has a sort of mini bar where the reception can serve you coffee, water, some drinks and snacks for a nominal cost (we didn't try it). This was a great option for us to see Venice for the 5th time without staying at (much) more expensive places on the island (as we have done before) with easy access to Venice proper by a 10 minute train ride (1.45 euro each way). We would stay in Mestre again on future visits to Venice and commute.

The Booking.com profile says the room facilities include kettle and coffee maker - when we book we usually look for that convenience - but the room we were assigned didn't have these...maybe they believe the common area bar qualifies, but as you pay to be served at the lobby bar we wouldn't agree with that (maybe they would have given us hot water for the tea we travel with, but we didn't ask). Small note - the air conditioner fan in room 104 squeals when it runs on medium or high.

we only spent one night on our way to Rome here. It is close to train station (we walked app 15 minutes there with my 12 y old daughter on Saturday night around 11pm and felt pretty safe). Our train got broken so instead of 8pm we arrived at 11pm. But reception is 24 hours so it was not a problem. Guy at reception even helped us with luggage to 2nd floor as there was not elevator. room was spacious, clean as well as bathroom.

what was really disturbing was sound maybe from the outside ventilator or from somewhere but as we were pretty tired we felt asleep. but it was really disturbing (we were on the 2nd floor)

The location is good, about 10 minutes from the train station from which we could get to Venice in few minutes.

We could hear everything, voices, water from the toilet from the other rooms, everything happening around our room. We had to leave the key card in the hotel when we were about to go out, which was strange, because when we returned and asked for it, we were not even asked to show ID and got the key card immediately (from a different receptionist who didn't know us). Doesn't seem very safe...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at hotel Adria during the Venice Carnival, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This was not my first time staying at the hotel, as my family and I make it a tradition to choose this hotel every year for our Venice Carnival stay. Everything about Hotel Adria exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, with easy access to the bus stop for Venice just a short walk away. This convenience makes exploring the city incredibly convenient, especially during busy times like the carnival. Additionally, for those traveling by car, the hotel offers parking facilities, which is a huge plus in Venice where parking can be quite challenging to find. The hotel itself is very nice, with elegant decor and comfortable accommodations. The rooms are spacious enough, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests. The staff is also top-notch, providing exceptional service and always going above and beyond to ensure guests have everything they need. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Whether you're visiting Venice for the carnival or simply looking for a nice and convenient place to stay, this hotel truly has it all. I look forward to returning year after year for another unforgettable stay.

Very accessible, we took bus 4L Mestre and the hotel which is 5mins from the stop. When inside, you don’t feel like it’s in a town/city, it’s quite calm and quiet. Room was spacious and the twin room had provisions for both occupants. The AC worked well and we could regulate the temperature unlike where we had been previously. They cleaned daily

The bathroom is of a decent size but the shower space is small and I didn’t understand the shampoo provided in the shower at all. Also, you hear the next room’s bathroom activities if you leave the bathroom door open. Close it and it’s fine.

The Adria in Mestre is an ideal location for those who do not wish to stay on Venice or arrive by car. There is adequate car parking, the bus to Venice goes regularly about 200 metres from the hotel. It goes directly to the bus station at the top of the Grand Canal. You can buy the tickets in the Tabac across the road from the Hotel. A short walk to the Piazza in Mestre in the evening gives you a wide choice of restaurants. Worth remembering that on the first Sunday in September every year they hold a big regatta on the Grand canal with a parade of boats and racing.

very well located with many bus connections to Venice. Very Friendly staff. Did not try the breakfast so cannot give feedback on Breakfast , Room, bathroom was spacious and had everything needed. It's very near to bus, tram and Train station. 5 mins walk to Bus and Tram stops. 10 mins walk to Venice Mestre station. We checked out at 8.30 AM and kept the luggage in the locker and collected in the Evening without any charges. When we are about to leave the hotel staff gave 2 bottles of water as we were tired with the hot weather. Very nice staff.

There is nothing to mention any negative

Very friendly staff. Really easy check in and out, we arrived past midnight and there was no problem. Comfortable and incredibly clean room. Perfect location - really close bus that brings you to central Venice (approx 10 minute journey) and it’s also means that you don’t have to lug your bags around the many steps on the island. It is also very close to the train station.

The shower. The water power was very poor (which was not great after a long summer’s day walking around Venice). Also, you had to hold the shower head yourself, the holder was down by the tap, making it quite awkward to use. But this was the only negative about the property and honestly it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.

The kindness of the staff was outstanding. They helped us with all sorts of things: bus tickets, cheap diner suggestions. They also stopped us doing foolish things like "you shouldn't take the bus to the train, it's easy to walk so you don't have to pay for it." They were multilingual, which made it easier for us, as our Italian is far from perfect. We arrived late at night, they didn't make any problems about checking in late.

It feels like nitpicking at this point, but the shower(curtain) is a bit outdated. The shower head doesn't feel all that clean. The breakfast was typically Italian, which means really sweet and modest. From where we are from, we're used to a big buffet in restaurants, but we were expecting the typical Italian breakfast. (which still was pretty tasty!)

Staff very nice and helpful. The room small but OK. Ask for a kettle if you like coffee or tea in the morning. Good connection with Venice with the bus. Close to the railway station, from which you can reach the Bologna airport (if needed). A supermarket at a walking distance (in the direction of Mestre Centre).

Breakfast - really poor quality, cheapest products, tasteless, cold, waste of money, it is better to have it outside the hotel. The location of the hotel (especially at the evening or night) is also so so but acceptable.
