Hotel Centrale

Hotel Centrale is located not far from the Mestre train station, and across the street from a bus stop where you can catch a bus to Venice. The tobacco store next to the hotel sells bus tickets. Traveling with my son, we were able to afford two single rooms for less than what doubles cost in Verona. My room was very clean and comfortable. It was also quiet, even though located next to the staircase. There was a pharmacy near-by, and options for coffee and a light breakfast. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, which we did not try.

There was nothing to not like except the wait for the elevator. We took the stairs instead of waiting.

The Hotel is located in pedestrian zone with a lot of very good restaurants. The bus to Venice is 50 meters away.

Bus station to Venice very close , therfore location is very good. As we came with car there are a lot of parking places near hotel. Free city parking from 20.00-08.00 and whole day on sunday- search for the blue lines on floor. Hotel room was very clean, staff was polite and provided all answers to our questions. We did not take hotel breakfast so no comment on that. Maybe next time :) Our go to place when coming to Venice again.

Good size room. Standard hotel facilities: double glass windows. Dark curtains. Elevator and clearly marked emergency exit and smoke detectors. The nice breakfast is served by a very friendly young lady. No eggs, but sun-dried tomatoes and olives! The bus to Venice stops very nearby.

Given the price nothing. All assuming you visit Venice during the day and only use the hotel to sleep and eat breakfast.

Well situated in area with lots of restaurants close by. Front desk staff were generally very helpful with exception of one clerk who always seemed to not want to deal with any of guests who spoke English. Breakfast was good and staff there were pleasant. Bus service to Venice was seamless and tram service to train station was very convenient.

Rooms in front of hotel were a bit noisy even with windows closed. Voices carried up from taxi drop off; street traffic noise; and garbage truck noises may be problematic for light sleepers.

Everything was really good for the price. The location it’s perfect, especially since is 15 minutes away, on a straight street from the Venezia Mestre railway station ( which is perfect because when we had our day in Venice with Murano and Burano there was a public transport strike and the buses worked 6-9 AM and 4:30-7:30PM, but the trains were working so we were able to return at 10PM from Venice to Mestre by train). Just pay attention that the location is really central and early in the morning the service workers were picking up the garbage from the recycling area which was near and they are noisy, so if you have a light sleep, you might be waken up by that around 6-6:30 in the morning. Besides that, we are really pleased with our choice and our stay at this hotel.

Although the hotel is quite basic, the buffet breakfast is great. The staff are very friendly and it's spotlessly clean. The bus stop to Venice is across the road from the hotel (€1.50) takes 15 mins. Super service. Mestre is surrounded by lovely cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. As you'll be sightseeing all day, the hotel is perfect for a night's sleep. The price reflects the accommodation, cheap and cheerful!

Rooms are very small but functional. Try for a room a balcony.

We want to stay in between train station and airport, since we arrived there by train from Florence and our next flight was to Paris. The location of this hotel was perfect for this logistics. It is also near to the bus station. Room capacity was ok for two people. The Hotel receptionist was very nice, since we did a late night check-in, he was able to help us to order food online. Love the hospitality of the staff.

They have breakfast in the morning, we took the breakfast but didn't know that the breakfast was not included for us. So, we have to pay for the breakfast separately. It would be good that if they had informed us about this during check-in.

My return flight was like cancelled twice and I was very down but the receptionist was so friendly and kind and told me many good spots to visit. I would like to say the staffs are the best I have ever met. And the location is also very good, everytime I take 7E bus to the Venezia and the bus stop is like just 2-minute walk from the hotel. The room is big and also the bed is comfortable and what I think can be better is only the quilt or say blanket is a little thin for me. Anyway, the stay in this hotel is excellent.

Hotel Centrale is in a very good location in Mestre, 5 min walking to piazza Ferreto. Just across the street there is a bus stop with direct buses to Venice, and also the big supermarket Eurospar is just across the street. If you check out early, you can leave your luggage for free in a luggage room in hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day.

There is not anything that I could complain about, everything was quite ok.
