Hotel Bonotto

Perfectly located right between the center of the town and the beach. The room was quite small, but clean, and with a balcony facing the lake. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is ok, not much to choose from, but enough to start your day. However, if we were to chose one single reason to return to Bonotto, that would be the view from the terrace where breakfast is served, on level 5. Astonishing!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Emmanuel gave us an excellent welcome. Lovely size room for our family. The breakfast was great, with lots of choice. We weren't expecting the rooftop to have such a spectacular view and ended up spending a lot of time there, enjoying the jacuzzi pool and sunbeds. The location was a real highlight, so close to the beach and easy to walk into town and to the ferry port. We also walked to and from the train station a few times for days out.

A little shade on the rooftop may have been nice, but we could easily pop down to the floor below and ended up playing cards and having drinks down on the balcony there if it got too hot. Really can't think of anything that could be improved on, we loved it and so did our children.

The majority of the staff were very friendly even with imperfect language skills (ours). The location is great as you may walk to the Ferry and explore the little downtown & sights on foot, no car needed.

There could be more indoor common area/s. The lobby could have more seating to accommodate waiting for travel companions and time with reception staff. There is a pleasant bar area which is under-utilized. It appeared to be inadequately staffed. When we were there it looked as though front desk staff would have to leave their station in order to provide service at the bar. Therefore, we were reluctant to ask for refreshments. It would have been nice to have an appertif or a nightcap at our own hotel bar. PS perhaps another system could be devised to allow more use of the roof top terrace and jacuzzi.

Very good hotel in center of Desenzano. Close to nice beach with rentable chairs or the public section. Hotel is 1 mins walking to old Town with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Ask for recommendations at the reception. Some restaurants needs a booking in summer time. Parking house is opposite street and you can buy ticket at hotel. The hotel have a terasse on top with sunbeds and small Jacuzzi.

We needed a comfortable base, 2 single rooms, for our short stay while being out exploring the area during the day. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the lake and the pedestrian area to walk into town Beds were very comfortable and the rooms super clean.

Stayed for 9 nights at this beautiful hotel: Very helpful staff, clean rooms, and great food. - The reception staff is present 24/7 and always ready to help. We consulted the reception staff multiple times regarding good places to eat, how to get to different locations around Desenzano etc., and were helped perfectly every time! - Rooms were cleaned every day, which was a welcome surprise for me. Airconditioning worked perfectly, and we always had a cool room, even when it was 30+ degrees. - The breakfast, which was included, was perfect every single day of our stay. It was one of my favourite moments of the day when I went up to the terrace looking over the sea and had a great cup of coffee while enjoying the sun. Nice area around the hotel, as the hotel is located very close to the beach, as well as the inner city of Desenzano.

I do not have a single thing that I did not like during my visit to Hotel Bonotto :). Just be careful on the small roads in the mountains near the lake, as we almost got stuck with our VW Polo. If it's an 'unknown road', you might want to take a different road!

Amazing location - 1 min. walking to the lake and 2 min. to the city center. Hot bathtub and sunbeds on the roof with spectacular view on the lake was a huge highlight!

Next time I wouldn’t take breakfasts here. Cold food and almost no choice. I would prefer having a coffee and freshly baked croissant somewhere in a cafe. The lake view from the breakfast room is amazing though.

A super great location, just a few meters away from the lake, the beach and restaurants! The neighborhood is nice and there are many things to do. Also, the ferry station is not so far and it takes you to many cute places around the lake (Sirmione 20 minutes). The hotel is very clean, elegant and it has a beautiful terrace with a great view to the lake, the castle and the Sirmione peninsula. Finally, great breakfast and staff. We very much liked this hotel and would come back for our next visit :)

The rooms was quite small (all others were booked) but I guess they do have bigger rooms for a higher fee.

The room was clean and nice. The location was great and not far from the water and great restaurants. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. We were going to miss our train if we waited for a taxi so one of the staff members drove us to the train station. Thanks to him, we made our train to our next destination. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We liked everything about our stay at Hotel Bonotto. Great location only a few metres from the bathing area and walking distance to restaurants and the promenade. Our room was spacious and comfortable, sparkling clean, crisp white sheets, spacious bathroom and aircon that worked well, which was a great respite from the hot days. We slept comfortably. The breakfasts were excellent - full English (scrambled eggs and bacon) and full continental buffet, with an assortment of pastries, cereals, fruit, cold cuts, cheese and fruit juices. They even had pancakes! The staff are very friendly and helpfull and they upgraded us to a room with a view of the lake. We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Bonotto and we will definitely go back again. We can highly recommend Hotel Bonotto.
