Hotel Regina Margherita

Very centrally located for the city of Cagliari and all it has to offer. Very close to restaurants etc and the main harbour and shopping streets. The room was not very large but it was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was updated. I have stayed in many hotels around the world. This hotel might seem a little dated and tired in places, but the staff are marvellous, and that is what really makes a stay in a place valuable or not. We arrived very early in the day and we were allowed to check in much before the scheduled time. We were also allowed a very generous late check out time. We didn't have to pay extra for either of these. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is plentiful and a wide choice from fresh fruit and yogurt to pastries to cereals to fried food. Something for everyone. The bar are is very nice and the bar staff very attentive. Drinks are not over priced. We also had a very nice sea view from our room. I would certainly recommend this hotel. It is not the cheapest in the city but I think good value for money.

I cannot think of anything that was so bad it is worth a mention. Credit where credit due. Nothing bad to say about the place.

Really clean, cool and classy during our visit for a week in July 2023. Excellent breakfast, very obliging and helpful staff. Fast and comprehensive room service. Nice rooms. Would definitely choose again!

Would have been incredible if they had a pool, but otherwise nothing we “didn’t like” here. Beach is a short (regular) bus ride away anyway.

+ Really friendly and helpful room service (daily checking and cleaning of the room + refilling of soap, lotion etc) + Friendly reception + uncomplicated early check-in at arrival + Great breakfast (different bread, fresh fruits, eggs, etc.) + Big room with more than enough space to place your belongings + Perfect AC (not too loud + great cooling effect) + Perfect location (close to many delicious restaurants and the bastion saint remy, easily accessible by a short 10 min walk from Cagliary Train Station)

- Sometimes room doors have to be opened by pushing hard, which in turn increases the noise on the corridor and in the rooms

My experience was great. The location is very convenient when staying in Cagliari: very close to the main tourist attractions in the city (5 min walk), very close to the public transportation stops etc. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. I asked to change the room due to some disturbance preventing me from sleeping, and my request was quickly accommodated. It's super clean. It has a good breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay there, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Cagliari.

The only negative thing I can say is - to change pillows. They are hard and flat.

Gluten free bread available for breakfast. Nice location and superior room. Right at the city centre where all restaurants are. Excellent shower. Underground garage available free of charge.

Superior room did not have top mattress. We booked double bed but there were two single beds put together. We also could not make coffee in the room. There was a kettle but only one instant coffee bag:-) We called reception and apparently somebody was sent to bring coffee but we never received it. During breakfast one have to ask for cappuccino coffee as no one knows that is offerred.

Super well located close to the old Town and it's beautiful small streets and good restaurants. Free parking and very close to the the way to Puedo quarter, to the see and to all other roads to the nice beaches. Lovely people working in the hotel super helpful. We did the choice to go to this hotel in the center of the city instead of a hotel on the beach and it was an excellent choice. The reason is that there are so many nice beaches to discover this is why you don't need a hotel on the beach but you need a car and a central located hotel. The price of the night was really good compared to the service and compared to what you pay for hotels on average beaches. We will definately come back to sardigna and to this nice hotel. Superbly located & very well appointed. We arrived after a long day of travelling & we’re surprised with a complimentary upgrade, which was very welcome. Free parking was a plus & the breakfast was excellent. The room was big as was the bathroom, there were tea & coffee making facilities too. We would gladly return here.

Beautiful hotel,clean , friendly staff.Very good choice at breakfast,from bacon and eggs to pastries,cheese ham.

Struggled to stand in bath to take shower,bath very high sided,tolietires not replanshied.Have an problem that the hotel is aware of,but has not been resolved.would have been nice to have a menu for room service,a pen and maybe some general info in room.My husband did not realize there was a fridge hid in wardrobe.

The location is great I flew in from Malta the check-in staff were brilliant. The barman organised a toasted sandwich for me at 10 p.m. at night. The bed was really comfortable.

I'm not disabled but I had a disabled room which was fine apparently the hotel was full and was the next day as I couldn't stay again so checked in to a neighbour hotel. The restaurant in the morning could have had more staff it was chaotic and chaos with just two people clearing tables it was as though a bomb had exploded

This place is really value for money. Good rooms, excellent service and good location. There is a bus stop right outside and walking distance to restaurants and Points of interest. The bus stop outside has a bus that takes you right to the beach. My air conditioning and hair dryer were not working. They were both fixed in les than half an hour.
