The Kenmare Bay Hotel & Leisure Resort

Everything. From the second we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Bedroom was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and great facilities. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had. Would recommend eating a evening meal in the restaurant too, we stayed in one night due to bad weather and was so glad we did. The little play corner for children was a very welcome addition for my 3 year old. Pool was lovely and a great gym if that's you're thing. All the staff were so friendly, especially to my little boy. We can't wait to come back!!

The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. The food in the bar is delicious and the staff go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. It was very hot in our room due to the weather and a fan was put into our room without even asking which I thought was very thoughtful. The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the bathroom was fabulous with an amazing shower. The swimming pool was lovely too! The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to be near the town but also outside the town. It’s a great base for traveling to other towns also. I’d definitely stay here again

Could they provide the beers from the local Tom Crean Brewery, in particular the red ale. I had a drink in the bar on the first two nights and tried the two different red beers provided, which I was not keen on. I then went to other bars in Kenmare Town to drink the Tom Crean red ale. If the Kenmare Bay Hotel provided the Tom Crean beers I would have stayed there in the evenings. I hope that this suggestion helps.

just the spa operator was hard to contact meaning we couldn’t get a treatment.

We got in late after hours of driving and we found out the hotel has a night kids club (7-9). My husband and I enjoyed a really good dinner in a room with beautiful music! In the morning for breakfast my kids had a blast in the kids corner which was full of interesting toys and in the pool that had a slide. I would say for families this is the best hotel I have ever been into! Only 30 mins away from the ring of kerry.

Reception staff were efficient and friendly. Room was large, with a comfortable bed and was clean and well serviced throughout. Food was good, especially at breakfast time. The hotel is located right on the ring of Kerry, so is ideal for anyone exploring that part of Ireland. There were a couple of wedding receptions during my stay, but they were well separated from the room I stayed in, so noise was never an issue.

Although the food was excellent in both the bar and restaurant, there was no atmosphere and prices were a little high. Car parking can be a little problematic, although I always did find a space, sometimes some distance from the hotel entrance.

Room was very Clean, staff were brilliant so kind,helpful, and accommodating. the food was very good hot,fresh and tasty.

The night we stayed there was a wedding on which was lovely to see but we were on the ground floor 104 and when the band were obviously finished packing up there entrance was right outside our window so lots of noise that woke me, perhaps it would be an idea to put the wedding guests in those rooms since they would be up anyway as moving their equipment etc caused a lot of noise, something to be aware. Perhaps a little more gluten/ dairy free options on the evening menu.

Omg what an amazing hotel. From the moment we walked through the front door we knew we had chosen the right hotel, fantastic girls on the front desk so helpful and friendly, our room was fantastic anything we requested for our 2 year old was not a problem, house keeping staff do a fantastic job, the place is spotlessly clean to a very high standard, bar staff and breakfast staff are just brilliant opulent do enough for us, making our stay even more enjoyable...

Second, maybe third time staying in one of the family rooms. Really love the view from the room, especially from an upper floor. Pillows and mattress are very comfortable and worthy of giving a good night's sleep.

A new electric kettle would be good as the plastic is quite worn and is taking on a weird smell. The shower door is missing the strip at the bottom that keeps the water in the shower and therefore leaves a pool of water just outside the shower. Would love to see more food allergen friendly foods on the breakfast menu - specifically for Coeliac's and lactose intolerance. Tap needs to be fixed as it drips.

Warm Welcome at Reception from the staff, Room was excellent and well laid out and clean Breakfast was Brillant and the service was excellent Dinner was excellent on the previous evening and Staff were excellent.

the parking of a car is an issue, but I don't know how to resolve that situation or suggest a solution. Traditionally it has been first come, first to park near or at the front of the hotel when there is a place. I had to park my car at the resort car park bottom of the hill and It was a long trek back up the hill but on the better side not too bad.
