I loved the home. I loved my fellow guests. I loved the comfort, cleanliness, and conveniences of the accomodations, the black pudding, orange juice and strong French press coffee for breakfast, but what I loved most were my hosts. Phillip and his wife took amazing care of me over my 4 night stay. I'd had a fun night my first day in town and spent the whole next day recovering. They were very kind to me and we spent the remainder of my time joking about my shenanigans. I really appreciated their sense of humor and tolerance of a silly solo traveler.

Everything was amazing. The only complaint I can come up with is the tight fit of the large key tag when locking/unlocking the room door. Twas a bit awkward. I did read from other reviews prior to my stay that the walk into town was a bit far, but that suited me well. As a solo woman the 15 minute walk was pleasant and safe, even late at night. I prefer a bit of a slower pace from being out of the main hub, but if you're wanting to be in the thick of it, consider the walk is about 10/15 minutes.

We liked that we could walk into Kenmare, although it was a little bit of a trek. It was nice we had some dinner options and the walking path was easy to use. It was also nice to have onsite parking available. We were a little late coming in so we called our host, and she was accommodating. We had a great conversation with our host in the morning, he had several suggestions for us and seemed very interested in making sure we got the most out of visiting the area.

It's not so much a complaint but just a heads up that the staircase is narrow and steep...like most great places in Ireland. The dining was set family style (all at the same table) which didn't bother us, but a few others at the table seemed very uncomfortable with the arrangement.

This gorgeous stone cottage was covered in crimson Virginia creeper and the tumbling burgundy hydrangeas out front painted such a lovely picture on a rainy Irish day! Our host Philip was most congenial and humerous. He spoke quickly but we kept up and he gave us lots of information about Kenmare and Irish history too. His room tour was very thorough and I appreciated having a hot cup of tea while I wrote in my journal at the little writing desk in our room. My husband napped in the comfy bed! Philip suggested Casey's down the road at the Brooklane Hotel for dinner, a short walk away and it was very enjoyable. We appreciated all of Philip's quirky handiwork in our room and the original paintings done by his wife Bernadette. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast in the solarium was a great start to our next day's adventures which included a walk about town and a visit to the Kenmare stone circle. Kenmare is full of lovely shops too!

Sadly, we did not get to meet Bernadette. Apparently she was busy in the kitchen. I would like to tell her what a nice touch it was to have her paintings in our room.

A stay here was truly like a home away from home. Our host was the most charming and helpful man with recommendations for things to do, travel routes to explore and restaurants. Every one of them was perfect and gave you a genuine experience. Our room was comfortable and unique and the breakfast room a lovely, sunny spot to start the day. We didn't walk into town but there is a perfect, secret parking lot that he directs you to. Definitely recommended.

We would have liked a top sheet, and not just a heav y quilt. This is the case in all Irish hotels, however.

The other reviews are spot on. Phillip and Bernadette run a lovely B&B, located at a great spot if you want to explore the region. We stayed for 4 nights, enjoyed the breakfast and got great tips from Phillip. Our room was small but had everything we needed. The room was cozy, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean, heater works extremely well, WIFI was stable, etc. Would love to visit again! Thanks again.

It's hard to think of anything really.

This B&B is in an ideal location, within walking distance of Kenmare Town itself. Philip the host is very informative if you need to know where best to go. The accommodation was truly so clean and the room I had was very quiet, I couldn't hear any traffic. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, I would go back here again. Kenmare has some fabulous restaurants and it is in an ideal location to travel to West Cork and other parts of County Kerry.

Sweet b&b at walking distance from the Kenmare center (only a 4 minutes walk). The rooms are pleasant with comfy beds, heating and coffee and tea facilities. The breakfast is good with loads of options. The kind owners know the area very well and will direct you where to go and answer all your questions. Unfortunately I was there only 1 night, because I think it would be wise to book more nights because of it's central position of Kenmare, the ring of Kerry and the Cork county.

Lovely warm welcome on arrival (despite arriving late with car issues). Spotlessly clean, cosy room, soft bed. Very tasty breakfast, easy to find accommodation with plenty of parking. Recommend!

Wasn't clear if you could go into the lounge (I think this was the owners' space so I kept out). When it came to payement would have preferred to have maintained view of my card rather than handing it over and have it dissapear into the house for five minutes... not a huge problem for me but some might get nervous. Perhaps get an epos system like SumUp of MyPOS Go.

-Very personable ,gracious & helpful hosts who made us feel welcome and gave us useful tips on our travel -Good breakfast. - Very Close to Kenmare city center. -Although the room felt a bit small, it was pretty cozy. The beds were super soft.

Nothing specifically. All rooms are on the first floor so those with weak legs or disability issues or heavy luggage may find it difficult.
