The Park Hotel Dungarvan

Extremely helpful and courtesy staff both on reception, bar and breakfast dining Great location for Greenway walks and city centre

The Park Hotel is well located both for the town and the Waterford Greenway. Our room no 258 was billed as a twin but in fact had a double bed as well as a twin bed. The room was spacious with a very high ceiling and was excellently appointed, including a Nespresso coffee machine. Breakfast was first class with many choices including a gluten-free buffet display and dairy free options. Irish breakfast is cooked to order. Outside there is ample parking and easy direct access to main routes.

Not a lot, but some breakfast tables were a little close together.

Booked in for one night originally but extended when going to check out the next day. Both nights included breakfast with the price, which is very rare now. The lady on the breakfast door was very friendly both mornings and great selection for breakfast. Used the swimming pool with my daughter a number of times and facilties were great. Ate in hotel both evenings also. The service was prompt and friendly. Will be back!!!

Was waiting a short while for order to be taken at breakfast on the second morning, eventually had to call waiter/waitress. They seemed to be young and learning, so understandable.

Staff were amazing so helpful and friendly. Good was very good and as our party included a coeliac and vegetarian we were both happy that we were well catered for. The gluten free selection was very good

Our room was clean and comfortable but I did feel the bathroom could have done with some attention. There was a drip that was constant from the shower with no way to stop it and the bathroom door needed to be mended as the bottom was starting to rot and the paint was coming off. Sink and toilet needed some extra attention too.

- Smart tv with netflix and youtube, however problems with the wifi connection in our room meant we could not access these features or cast to the tv. However 2 staff members did come to our room to try and fix it and we probably would have been able to switch rooms had we asked - No safe in room - Breakfast was nice although no buffet option for hot food, good coffee

Breakfast always lovely, you can get practically anything you want, room was very nice overlooking the bay and was spacious, clean and had everything in it and a comfortable bed, warm shower. everything else was perfect. Dinner was very nice; we had light bites and are always pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and friendliness & helpfulness of staff. We were able to check in late and check out late, perfect! Thank you The Park Dungarvan (congratulations on the name change too, it's a lot snappier and on trend.

The only thing was that there was nowhere to put our toiletries in the bathroom as the small glass ledge above the loo was shaky and very narrow but not a big thing for us. Just a point to note also, i received an email from Booking.com on the name change for your lovely hotel but they spelled Dungarvan incorrectly; they spelled it Dungarvab! maybe something you can alert them to or not but just thought i'd pop that fact in here.

Very nice breakfast, lovely vegetarian cooked breakfast. Really nice fruit salad etc . Staff extremely friendly especially lady managing the breakfast room. Bedrooms very quiet and beds super comfortable . Nice TV and swimming pool with whirlpool etc fun . Receptionist very welcoming and nice friendly vibe in hotel

Probably some parts of hotel need painting and redecorating. Work seems to be in progress .

Lovely hotel with stunning entrance. Good sized bedrooms and comfy beds. We ate in the bistro and the food was fantastic, as was breakfast. Live performer in the garden (Dominic) was just brilliant and made our stay.

This isn’t a dislike so much as a confusion… we had two rooms for the same price - one had robes, slippers and a coffee machine and the other didn’t. We were only there for one night so not a big deal but it wasn’t cheap so would expect standards to be consistent. When I asked about it I was told it was the luck of the draw!

family orientated .!! it was by far the best hotel with out a doubt if you have kids .!! I had my sons baptism, he is 2. we had 40 people traveling from USA. My brother also stayed with his family he has 6 kids aged 12 years thru 4 months old .! the baby sitter’s at the hotel was great . they have a free kids club . stay open longer that advertised and we booked them for the evenings after dinner .! the kids were so excited to go play with there new friends ( babysitter ,lol). we loved the out door garden with live music for food and drinks at night. we will stay there again .! I guess they own other hotels but it has that family feel to it.!

Nothing can’t fault this hotel.

After mentioning the bathroom facilities at my wknd stay at Lawlors (the rivalry) I am sure it wasn't a coincidence that I got the Suite. Food was nice, staff amazing, bed was comfy, suite was lovely compared to the standard room

Spider webs between windows which were only cleaned upon requesting it the second time Shower pressure was terrible Bathroom door had metal plate which was coming undone and insightly
