Art Hotel Charlottenburger Hof Berlin

The location is perfect, right across the street from the train stop. There are many restaurants, shops, cafes nearby. The room is small but comfortable. The staff speak English well and is friendly. Each floor has a cozy lounge w/ free coffee. They have YouTube, Netflix, etc.

This is the only place I know that gives you TWO key cards because I believe they have probs w/ the key cards becoming demagnetized. But guess what, even w/ two key cards, my keys didn't work when I returned home around midnight :( No one works at reception and so I had to text someone and they sent someone over (waited about 30-40 mins) My window opened up to a courtyard and it was loud in the morning. I was woken up early by the noise. The curtains are the basic pull-down type. You have to pull them down so people don't look in. I think regular curtains (w/ transparent covering) would be better so you could choose how much light to let in.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The lounge room was a great place to hang out with friends and the bed in my room was incredibly comfortable. Additionally, I appreciated the convenience of their online check-in, especially when arriving late after a flight. Cheers!

However, I noticed a couple of things missing in my room, such as a trash bin and a charger extension. Unfortunately, I didn't ask the reception for these items as it is closing after 22h every day. Another aspect to consider is that the shower cabin is quite small.

Location. Any transportation is extremely close. There are many places nearby to grab a bite or buy groceries. The staff is very friendly. WiFi was working. The fan was very useful.

The windows of many rooms overlook the courtyard well, which has good acoustics. Since there is no heating or air conditioning, the windows are open. On Saturday at 10 o'clock, some construction work started in the courtyard, and one of the workers was talking on the phone for a very long time. It felt like he was on the adjacent bed.

Cozy artsy hotel in a very central area (Charlottenburg S-bahn station literally in front of the building, also U-bahn 3 min away), less than 20min to Friedrichstrasse. Lots of options to eat in the neighborhood. Room itself also nice and quite - although some people wrote, that it's small, but it has very high ceilings, colourful yet tasty decorations, a view to a green innen yard, so it was absolutely quite with no street or neighbor noises. Small yet important details: power outlets installed near the bed to charge your phone, modern reading lamp - all was very good. If not a couple of minuses below, I would easily give it a 10 and suggest to increase the room price.

The biggest inconvenience was, that there is no fridge in the room, so no possibility to have cold water or a yogurt in the morning (or a glass of wine in the evening), so this is basically the only reason I wouldn't choose a longer stay. As the place is nice in general, I would be happy to pay few euros more but to have at least smallest mini-est of the mini fridges. Also, somehow at the check-in I wasn't told that there is a common guest place on the second floor, in which -as I found out only while already waiting for a pick-up - is possible to make a coffee/tea or to use computer. Also, as booking.com indicates they offer a breakfast, if so, I wasn't told about the option at the arrival. So more communication on useful hotel facilities in the beginning would have been useful.

Right in front of the station, friendly staff, fast enough WiFi, very good breakfast, proper shower with plenty of hot water etc. There is also a common room with free tea, instant coffee and water cooker. The bed is slightly soft but i could sleep well. My room was quiet, even it was Saturday night.

If you look at edges and corners with keen eyes, it was dusty. But all in all it was clean enough : ) Hair dryer works for about 1min, and then it needed to rest for couple of minutes until it worked again. (Room4)

This hotel is really worth it if you want to have an area with shops, restaurants, clubs and bars around. Even though it is not as touristic as other districts, you can find everything in that area. Also the train connections are awesome, you have UBahn and SBahn, just one block away from the hotel.

This has to be spoken for, but the cleanliness was not good enough from my point of view. There was a bit of mold, but that is also due to the season. However, the exceptional location of the hotel is something very hard to beat.

The friendliness, courtesy and professionalism of everyone I dealt with in the hotel. I am a frequent guest at the hotel. I was very pleased to see that the very high standards of the hotel under the late owner have been maintained.

There’s nothing that I did not like, except, perhaps for the absence of cups with which to enjoy the coffee and various teas in the common room. The common room itself was in immaculate condition.

Clean, VERY conveniently located next to Charlottenburg station, with a few restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were helpful.

You get what you pay for; it's quite basic. No breakfast option, no vending machine. Courtyard can get quite noisy, I had to sleep with the windows closed for the noise (despite the heat)

I loved the place, it is located right in front of the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station (city rapid rail), so you can easily get from/to the airport via a direct train (it takes about 1 h and is available at night). The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and very warm 😌 I also liked that water pressure was good and wifi worked everywhere and fast.

It didn’t really bother me but I could hear floor creaking in other rooms next door, so the sounds nearby are quite audible

The location is absolutely fantastic - you can get anywhere you would like to go quite easily with the S Bahn directly across the street. The rooms are what you can expect for the prices you are paying and can be small (especially for individuals) but you are getting nice clean spaces. Staff is very friendly and I highly recommend.
