Hotel Domicil Berlin by Golden Tulip

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms.

The elevator was broken the whole time we were there. Had to take stairs up to the first floor. The electrical sockets could be in a more convenient place, it was tricky to plug devices. The kettle was hidden away. When we brought it out there were no coffee cups and the cord was too short so we had to put it on the floor. Sockets are needed desk height throughout.

Location was excellent within close proximity of a U-Bahn (Wilmersdorfer-Straße) and an S-Bahn (Charlottenburg). It is within walking distance to Charlottenburg Palace. There are many eating places nearby for meals. I would also like to commend the female receptionist who works the night shift (unfortunately forgot to ask for her name) who was helpful in giving me recommendations on where to eat and visit.

I think it could be helpful if there was a kettle provided in the room for making hot beverages.

"The staff are very nice people and very attentive. Despite requesting a room with a single bed for two people when we first arrived, they arranged a room with a double bed. When we reported the issue, they immediately worked to resolve it. The location is very central. One day, the coffee machine suddenly broke down and I tried to help, but I couldn't. And I can't forget the person working at the reception desk that day :) "

The breakfast could be better.

Excellent position, next to U-bahn/S-bahn, many famous restaurants and shops around. Good view on the 7th top floor reception. I feel safe at night because every guests enter the hotel have to call the reception to confirm their identity. Thus, the staff offered us the salon room which has huge spaces inside ❤️

Currently the lift on the ground floor is broken, we have to walk upstairs 1st floor to use the lift. Luckily we don't have a big and heavy luggage. Hope it will be repaired soon.

This hotel is ideally situated for easy access to Berlin central. It is served by S Bahn and U Bahn and stations are very close. S Bahn at Savigny Strasse is a 5 minute walk and U Bahn at Charlottenberger Strasse is right across the road from the hotel. The hotel is modern and spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. There is an abundance of restaurants and coffee houses and shops in the area. This property ticked all our boxes. I would definitely stay here again.

The stay was good. No complaints there. The only thing which was quite amazing is that if you want to use the staircase instead of the elevator (when the hotel is full takes quite a while until it gets to your floor) is a dead end. You go to the staircase and once you are in the doors lock behind you. This is scary and doesn't make sense. What happens in a case of fire? or if a kid goes there? The only way out was to call someone to let you out. Highly dangerous and alarming!

- The breakfast price: 17 € per person is quite high in Berlin, it was not value for money - In the room no flip flops were provided - The hairdryer was weak - The soaps were not recharged everyday

Spacious room, sofa and even an unexpected kitchen area. Plus a large bathroon! More spacious than most hotels. Friendly staff and felt relaxed and easy going.

We did have windows open as only fan to cool off on hot nights. We were on street side and it could be a little noisey at times..although we still managed to sleep easilly.

Very good location near metro and bus station. Comfortable hotel. Nice staff with one exception.

One person of staff very annoying. We arrived at the middle of the night and she left us waiting untill she finished her bureaucratic work for 15 minutes until we finaly cheked in.

Good comfortable hotel. Excellent staff. The room is neat. A bus stop is under the hotel, and a metro is nearby (about 7 minute walk).

The room was a bit dusty. There was a problem with the elevator. When we returned to the hotel, we had to go up to the 7th floor, to another elevator, and then to our floor.
