Set behind the Cathedral in Troyes this old hotel is full of charm and history. Breakfast was unique in that it wasn't the usual buffet. It was brought by a waitress but no menu was provided so it was difficult to determine what could have been available for this (expensive) meal. I wonder if I had asked for braised kidneys (a favorite of mine) whether they would have been able to provide!

I had been in email contact with the hotel for a week before arrival to request a table for dinner. On the morning of our arrival I was told the restaurant was fully booked. When we arrived I asked again about dinner and I was told we would have to eat elsewhere. We asked them to book somewhere nearby that they would recommend and we ate at the La Barge nearby. It was most acceptable. Parking is extremely difficult. There are about 6 spaces at the front door in a narrow one-way street. My wife holds a blue badge so we had to unload outside the hotel and I then had to search for a parking space. Fortunately a disabled spot was available about 100m from the hotel otherwise I would have had to search further afield. So be warned - parking and hotel restaurant reservations are difficult!

This is probably the nicest hotel in Troyes. Very friendly staff, generous breakfast, small private parking lot (reserve your spot on time!). We were there during colder weather and it was really nice that the hotel doesn't skimp on heating.

We had a room above the reception area and the stairs are in wood, which creak, which is part of the charm of the place, but if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. We had a big bathroom with a tub but no shower, also no splash guard around the tub. A shower would have been nice, especially since there is plenty of room left. The extremely thin paper tissues don't belong in a 5 star hotel, and they are false savings because you need to use 3 or 4 to have the equivalent of one decent one.

3rd or 4th time staying here. Very pretty and quiet, great location short walk from restaurants.

Breakfast is a little pricey for what you get and so is the private parking. We had trouble on checkout having prepaid Booking.com but hotel couldn’t see that despite us showing confirmation and bank statements. We therefore had to pay again and this was duly credited back next day.

Loved the hotel - beautiful, chic and stylish. Gorgeous courtyards to enjoy an aperitivo and breakfast. Beautifully decorated. Great location. Dog friendly.

Didn’t like our ground floor room overlooking the street, so we couldn’t open the windows or curtains. Air Con didn’t work properly so even though we turned it down to 16, our room remained hot all night. Reception staff weren’t that friendly but other staff were lovely.

High-quality very comfortable stay in these carefully restored ancient houses that make up these two hotels, set in the original cobble streets outside the Cathedral walls, very accommodating hosts, comfortable beds, and lovery breakfast made the stay very special. We will return.

Nothing it met with our expectations

Quiet, pleasant part of the city in the shadow of the cathedral 10 mins walk from the centre. Beautiful restoration and very comfortable. Helpful service. Great to have a private dipping pool.

The private parking is expensive when its perfectly possible to park directly outside the hotel.

A wonderful medieval building with lovely courtyards and surrounding buildings and Cathedral.

Poor tea & coffee facilities in room. No proper shower even over the deep bath. Evening meal very disappointing although apparently from a well known chef who worked at another restaurant some distance away. Meal had been assembled rather than cooked on site. Meal very expensive for what was served.

Very nice hotel in country house style, very centrally located but still very quiet. Excellent breakfast with service (no self-service) in an extra room with a fireplace. A beautiful courtyard invites you to have a glass of champagne before and after dinner. The pool is a bit small, but still gives the opportunity for a little refreshment.

The Manager who greeted us was welcoming and extremely helpful. The building is beautiful, the gardens and courtyard are extremely pretty and the pool was an added bonus.

We loved everything about the hotel.

The location is perfect with easy local parking. It’s a short walk to restaurants and a very short walk to the cathedral. The rooms are beautiful,

Wonderful breakfast but perhaps a bit pricey?!
