Best Western Premier de La Poste & Spa

Wonderful hotel in the centre of Troyes, ideal for seeing the town. Room was large & comfortable . We splashed out on a junior suite which was well worth the money. Spacious lounge area, big comfy bed, large bathroom with lovely bath & a rainfall shower. Loved the TV in the mirror! Our room faced the main road but the double glazing sealed out the noise well. Fantastic breakfast selection, staff really friendly & helpful. Garage parking over the road was easy and worth taking as street parking is challenging. This was a stopver on a long journey but we will definitely return for a longer stay

The welcome and communication was very good. The room was very nice. We were able to park the car outside the hotel (as the last guests to arrive that day) and go out for dinner - very helpful. The breakfast was excellent - a fantastic range.

The only thing we struggled with was to understand the parking instructions - we circled la vielle ville a few times to find the entrance to the parking. It was perfectly safe and secure as soon as we understood it.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Very convenient central location. An easy 15 minute walk to train station. Friendly helpful reception staff except for one. Very good WiFi connection.

Air-condition8ng unit in section of hotel had broken down. Had to discover that for myself as male reception staff member knew about issue but did not inform me on check-in nor very apologetic. Not repaired until late afternoon following day so had had to spend an uncomfortable first afternoon and night. Daytime temperature 32 degrees. A pity as everything else was excellent.

Everything was good, room very nice and big. We had chocolate waiting for us :) The bathroom was huge and has Nuxe toilet products which was fantastic! Total atmosphere was really nice.

We required a parking place and it was not available for both night, but only one. The lady at the reception sent us to a parking near the Cathedral. Too bad that motorcycles were not allowed and we were not told. We parked there and had to call for assistance in order to leave the parking the next day! She also recommended us a local restaurant which was a DISASTER. Staff at reception should be more careful at guests' needs in my opinion

We were travelling with our large, nervous dog and the staff made her so welcome. They even set up a breakfast area for us in the courtyard so that she could breakfast with us which was really lovely

We hadn’t realised that we needed to book parking space which was difficult when we first arrived but the reception staff were very helpful in directing us to a nearby public car park.

The size of the room, it was a larger room. The location. Staff helpful and a good breakfSt

Having paid for a larger room it was disappointing that there was no lighting in that section . So it was difficult to sit on the sofa and read also the television was fixed to the wall facing the bed and therefore could not be viewed from the sofa.

Plenty of space in room. Very comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Helpful staff. Extremely central location. Availability (though see below) of secure parking very near to hotel.

Breakfast selection wasn't huge (limited fruits and hot options) given the price. Corridors and lift are quite tight. Some plutocratic fool in a Bentley had parked across two spaces in the small garage, leaving no room for us - the chap on the desk kindly moved his own car to find us somewhere to park.

Room was comfortable, bathroom large with a good shower. Location in the centre of Troyes was excellent for access to restaurants etc. We did not have breakfast.

We had reserved a car parking space. Despite sending a message asking for details we arrived at the hotel with no idea where to park. There is no stopping on the road where the hotel is situated and we had to pull over some distance away, with one of us sitting in the car, the other running to the hotel for the directions. This was a bit stressful. I was given a map and code to access the parking site but told an email had been sent with the details. I did not receive an email at any time.

Very beautiful hotel. Not too big, so feels quite cozy. I liked the spacious room and bathroom. We stayed only one night, so didn’t use all the facilities. But I would have expected great service.

The air conditioner was broken during our stay. However the reception didn’t inform us about this upon arrival. Would be kind of them to give the heads up. Especially since it was a warm day and we had a baby with us. For the rest our stay was really nice.

Great city centre location near the historic area with restaurants etc, so it’s no issue that they don’t have their own restaurant. Private off street parking close by, access instructions are well organised. Troyes town centre is lovely, with characteristic half-timbered houses, great for a stroll, we stayed just before the Christmas lights were due to be switched on, everything was ready. Excellent breakfast with wide choice of continental / cooked / cereals / meats & cheeses / bread & French jams / fruit & yoghurt etc to suit all nationalities / tastes. Comfortable room, friendly staff, can’t really fault it.
