Novotel Tours Centre Gare

The hotel is minutes away from the train station which is very convenient if you're catching the train from Paris. The reception staff are very friendly and spoke perfect English. The rooms are spacious, the bed is incredibly comfy (loved the pillows), the bathrooms are recently renovated and the Rituals products are a nice touch. There's a decent size fridge in the room. Breakfast was great too. It exceeded our expectations.

The wifi was poor. It just about worked on my laptop but my phone could barely connect to it. It would've been great to have some streaming capabilities on the tv - such a huge tv but nothing to watch.

Every thing close to the train station which is a huge plus. The rooms are big bathrooms are nice.

The wifi was terrible. The manager knew there was a problem but couldn't fix it. Is much money as we pay a night. The wifi should be perfect. Get someone in to fix it. We had to have our windows open because it was too warm in the room, which in return you here everything outside. The bar, if you could call it that was bad they don't know how to mix drinks. They don't have a restaurant it's just for breakfast. The refrigerator was not very cool.

Perfect location just next to the railway station, but not overlooking the busy and loud square in front. The room was sizeable and the hotel fulfilled our request to provide us with a room not facing the trains, thus greatly contributing towards the quietness during the night. There is a paid parking attached to the property.

The restaurant was disappointing. Housekeeping was quite careless at times -- not cleaning thoroughly, forgetting an open window or a pillow lying on the floor.

The location and the free and secure carpark facility. Especially when on holidays you have a fully packed car, theft and damage to the car is a mayor worry

Very little. The onlu thing I can think of is just like in every hotel, the pilot lights on for example the TV is very annoying. It keeps you from sleeping. We always end up either unplugging the TV or covering up the TV.

We arrived late from dinner in town and since it happened to be my birthday, the night manager opened us bar to make me and my wife a drink. Absolutely loved such a generous and kind touch. Meant a lot. Didn't get his name but he is soon to retire. Other than that, nice modern and comfortable hotel...Recommended 👌

Location good, almost in the centre, breakfast common, no problems.

I didn't like that the hotel couldn't arrange a parking reservation in advance, even though the parking lot belongs to the hotel. So parking had to be arranged through Zenpark. Wifi in the room very slow even for normal web browsing.

- Surprisingly, the outside parking places behind the barrier gate are free-of-charge (the paid places were only those in the underground). - The overall standard good level that you expect from Novotel (we've stayed in numerous ones)

- We've got a shower instead of a bathtub, despite what was expected by the photos. That was a little pity for our kids (although it does not make the hotel worse, of course). - In our experience Novotel is generally very kids-friendly (with small welcome gifts and play zones next to reception). Unfortunately, in Tours this element was missing.

We liked the small kids area with toys and colouring pens. My toddlers really enjoyed playing here after a long trip. The bar was open so it was nice to sit with ours drinks and watch our kids play.

The key codes to get into the car park and actual hotel were not properly working.

The staff was very nice, helpful and very professional at all steps of our journey from check-in, to sharing insights and suggestions around Tours and ultimately check-out. The room was extremely clean and modern, soundproof and comfortable for the whole family. Definitely good value for money !

Spacious room, comfortable bed, very pleasant and helpful personnel at the reception. Convenient parking directly under the hotel. Relatively short (10-15 minutes) walk to the old town. Many small restaurants in the neighborhood.

Very weak wi-fi signal and low speed internet trafic. Ventillation in the room could have been better.
