The place appears out of nowhere. As the map tells you you're getting close, it is worrisome--you're still in suburbia. But have heart! Suddenly there are farms and then you are at this gracious property with a lovely pool and a distant view of the mountains. The building is elegant and the rooms (other than ours alas) are amazing with sloped ceilings and mountain views. The fact that this is so welcoming for kids and dogs also means you should expect kids and dogs!
We admittedly stayed in the worst room--last-minute trips are like that some times. But wow it was hot in our room and we had to decide whether to plug in the phones or the fan or the lights with so few powerpoints. Breakfast was the most minimal continental I've ever had--bread, butter, jam, yogurt, coffee, tea and milk. No cheese, no fruits, no pastries. But the bread was delicious and the jam fantastic.

Would have liked coffee/tea making facilities available in the room. With weather so hot and no AC would liked to have seen either a electric ceiling or free standing fan.

The place is really beautiful, decorated with taste. Every detail was a pleasure for the eye. The sunrise view to the rosy mountains was stunning, with the birds singing... The calmness.
The surroundings are not particularly interesting, the property wasn’t very easy to spot from the road.

The hotel was in a rural quiet location with views of the Pyrenees. The room was a good size.
The room was very hot made worse by a very noisy fan. We were told in the morning that air conditioning will soon be fitted that should be a big transformation. We did not sleep well. There are not any local restaurants near Le Peyret although we did manage to find a supermarket 5km away allowing us to enjoy a good meal with wine in the garden.
