ibis budget Rouen Centre Rive Gauche

Good location- READ comments about CLEAN AIR Zone. Staff Friendly, Breakfast was OK juice machine wasn't working and staff didn't want to fix it or even look at it.... Room Tidy, Clean and a nice shower, towels provided but just remember it i a basic hotel. Burger king just up the road so if you arrive late you can always get something to eat Also a small supermarket situated just up the road.

Whilst booking they should of mentioned that the hotel is in the clean air zone as I was unaware of this until i drove to the outskirts of Rouen, I'm hoping i don't receive a fine in the post....

The hotel was bright and fresh. The room was very clean, nicely laid out with a spacious bathroom and excellent shower. There was ample space in the breakfast area and the breakfast itself was very good. There was a pool table for younger guests to enjoy themselves as well as a nice bar area serving soft and alcoholic drinks. The staff were very helpful and attentive.

It was very hard to find somewhere to eat in the immediate surroundings for an evening meal. It looked as if main eating places served lunches locally. There was a supermarket nearby, however, where food could be purchased.

the interior design is great and very welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and we were able to get two adjoining rooms which was great as we have 3 young children and had my mum with us, so we were able to spread ourselves across the two rooms but still be together. The lobby is great space and free use of the pool table is nice.

The hotel seems quite far out of the centre. We had a car so were able to get in easily and I expect there are buses which the staff would probably be able to assist with finding. But we had to pay for the hotel car park which feels a bit unjust as the hotel is quite far out.

Hotel is lovely, friendly staff and great room. Great location, metro into the city centre is only a 8 minute walk away. Breakfast was probably the best cold buffet we've had on our road trip around France (many of which were ibis hotels)

Only downside to the room was the air con, it's the only ibis we've stayed in that had the air con on centrally managed so could not bring the temperature down to as low as we wanted which resulted in a bit so great nice sleep.

breakfast was very good, access to rooms easy , location for onward trip to tunnel was easy, overall a nice quiet hotel, car park was very secure and worth the cost

nothing, everything as expected as we have stayed there a few times in the past, would recommend it. for overnight stays to or from the ferry terminal and tunnel to UK, Need to take care on approach road as you need to use a slip road to get to parking area. worth looking and understanding car park exit before leaving, a few people were struggling to get out and were holding up other people

The hotel is very modern and seems quite new. There is plenty of space on the ground floor to sit down and relax. The check in staff was very friendly. Our twin bedroom was very clean and spacious with some storage space (mostly shelves). The bathroom was very clean and towels were provided. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. The nearest Metro station is Jean Jaures, only 5/10 minutes away where you can get a tram to the city centre and to the railway station.

The rooms were well laid out, minimal but functional. The breakfast provided was excellent. It was incredible value for money.

The third bed was hidden away in a fold-down so we needed to ask where it was. In the room with 3 beds, they were too tightly packed, it would have been better with a bit more space. Our room had a noisy rattle from an air pump or heater in the ceiling which never stopped and was very annoying.

Breakfast was adequate for our needs, the choice wasn't great but there was plenty of food and the restaurant area was comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the lobby area was well laid out and attractive.

Perhaps a better choice of food for breakfast and a better quality of croissant, being in France! The hotel was about 40 minutes walk from Rouen centre so a bit far if you don't want to drive into the centre.

Great decor - all very comfortable and welcoming. Felt anything but budget. We are a family of 5 and had two interconnecting rooms with our own entrance area - so handy for storing our buggy. Our kids loved the fold-down beds. The breakfast was far better than expected after reading other reviews. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh croissant and delicious madeleine cakes - what’s not to like?!

It’s a shame the car park is pay by credit card only.

Lovely clean hotel, looked exactly like the photos. Bus stop to centre nearby, free to ride on Saturdays. Chilled, relaxed vibe for a drink after a long walk in the city and a bonus pool table, enjoyed by the family. Super friendly staff and excellent value for money. Paid €8 for secure gated parking. Gorgeous city, will return to Rouen and to this hotel.

Room a little small for 3 once stowaway bed is in use. Although room was in the budget side of the hotel, it didn't feel like that except for the size and lack of wardrobe. Would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in room and a hairdryer.
