Grand Hotel Bellevue - Grand Place

clean , staff attentive , great location, lovey hotel , we would book again when just myself and my husband visit

no parking and one of our party has difficulty walking , we managed to find a parking spot close to Hotel but suspect that may be difficult in high season

Short 15 minute walk from the Eurostar Terminal. Could not be better placed as the hotel overlooks the Old Town Square with all it's resteraunts/shops etc...(photo of view from our room included in this review). Room was very clean. Staff informative, cheerful and polite. Great breakfast that sets you up for the day. Check out not until 12 noon and so no rush on leaving day. Highly recommended.

Lovely features, big room, big comfortable bed and wonderful marbled bathroom BUT see comment on toilet. Location was superb!! Easy to walk everywhere and plenty of bars and restaurants around the corner. 13mins easy walk from Europe station. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Very good breakfast.

The en-suite toilet! It must have been a converted wardrobe by the room door. It was 1.2mt x 1mt! No working vent either…it’s ridiculous when the rest is so spacious and for a superior room. Beware: Tall and broad people would not fit in it! It’s a shame as it could have scored an easy 10 from us.

Fantastic hotel as in its location in the centre of Lille. Very welcoming staff and very helpful when we asked if they had a room with a view! They moved us straight away! A very comfortable room warm and clean. Bed was very comfortable. I’d recommend the breakfast too. Very good choice and lovely and clean.

Our first room had no view and was a bit depressing but when we asked if we could move there was no hesitation! The telly gave up on the second day but this wasn’t really a problem.

The hotel is in an excellent location, backing onto the Grand Place. The front-of-house service was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable with good en suite facilities. A generous continental breakfast is served on the first floor but there is no bar or restaurant at the hotel. However, there are lots of bars and restaurants close by. We used the INDIGO parking situated under the Grand Place and a very short stroll from the hotel - would recommend booking a parking space ahead on-line.

Would have been nice to have had a residents bar. Other than that, no issues

The location was great, at the heart of old town next to Grand Place with lots of cafes and restaurants. We walked pretty much to most places within old town, Museum of Fine Arts is worth a visit and is only 10 min leisurely walk. Finding a nice restaurant, cafe or shop was never a problem, never had bad food or service, credit to Lille I guess. Breakfast room looked small but can't be sure as we chose to have breakfast in nearby cafes on Grand Place (you can get a croissant and a coffee for 4-6 euros). We had two twin rooms which were on separate floors as they only have one twin room on each floor we're told. The hotel is in a historic building with nice atmosphere, staff was very friendly too. We had problems with our shower in the room which they couldn't fix but they gave us another room to use the shower without the need of moving rooms. Overall it was a great location, good hotel and an altogether pleasant stay.

Location is great. We booked a car park just a few hundred meters away, and it was great being able to explore the city centre just outside the hotel. Staff was super nice, the room was clean and quiet, Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate.

When we arrived the hating in the room did not work so it was cold, and it took a while to warm up. The hotel is an old building, so despite the new decor you still find a separate toilet and bathroom. Also the pillows were way too soft for my liking, but that is just a personal preference.

Superb location, with Christmas markets on the doorstep and so many interesting places to visit nearby. The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard. The bedroom was a good size and there were excellent en-suite facilities. Friendly staff, who were happy to help with any query. Very good breakfast. Opportunity to keep fit every day, walking up the stairs. We were on the 4th floor, but it seemed like it was the 8th, with the high ceilings ! Very happy to recommend to others.

our room was large and clean but poorly furnished. No second comfy chair. Only one bedside table!!! Safe not working. Dangerous bath floor , slippery, when taking a shower. No grab handles in bathroom. Broken chest of drawers. No glasses only paper cups (this is a four star hotel!!!.) Best best way I can describe the room is that it was disjointed. I think the owners need to visit the hotel themselves and they can form their own impressions......

The hotel and the staff are very nice, and helpful. The room is attractive, and has light colourful decor.

Noise from other rooms particularly the one above. This was unfortunate , the people in this room were very inconsiderate and loud up until 4 am! Outside noise too from the square, late night and well past 2am. Not really possible to have the windows open and get any sleep - a shame if it is a warm night. Even with the windows closed I still found it didn't block out noise, the window fastenings are old.
