Hotel Kana

Location is absolutely superb. Parking in city centre very welcome (must pre-book). Staff were excellent and helpful. Room was very clean. this is a quirky hotel ideal for a short weekend break - would visit again.

Toilet squeezed under sink (not joking) made it difficult to use and extreme accuracy an essential requirement. Bathroom sink cracked a long time ago and left damaged. Shower tray damaged same as sink. Window blind fell down. Breakfast area is tiny, people standing up eating Brekkie as layout chaotic and unusable. standard of breakfast itself poor, although probably worth the 10 Euro surcharge. If it wasn’t for the superb location and car parking I’d probably advise looking elsewhere tbh. However, those two attributes make it well worth accepting the foibles.

Excellent hotel in the Center of Lille. Good Value for money. Also an option to "Cancel" housekeeping visit during the day to save the planet. Hotel will give you a free drink if you do that.

Street is very noisy in the evening. It was ok during the night of a work day but it might not be so on the weekends. Did not really bother my sleep at all. Added bonus is the bakery across the street. They will start baking very early in the morning and the smell is divine. it will wake you up =)

Fun little hotel. The breakfast was GREAT and just a wonderful, healthy (but filling) and relaxing way to start each day. The room itself was fine with a good shower and comfortable bed. Location is perfect as you can almost walk out the front door and into the Rihour metro stop, which in turn is in the center of everything like the main city square etc.

Some rooms face the street, and those ones can be noisy. I had my windows open and could hear lots of loud carrying-on from young people on the street below. It actually doesn't bother me but if it's important, you should ask for a quieter room that faces the back. Something else which didn't bother me (but might bother some) is that there is no elevator. The hotel is very clear about this and I quite enjoyed the staircase but please choose accordingly.

Room on 2nd floor at rear of hotel very quiet . Coffee available in room as was free coffee downstairs in reception area . Staff always on hand to help . We arrived early allowed to leave our luggage and this was taken to our room when room was ready 10/10 for the staff.

No lift in hotel and rooms could have a place to store you luggage more choice of tea/coffee in room only 2 pods available .

You get what you pay for, often. With Hotel Kanai, you don't pay much, but you get more for your money. Nothing great, budget hotel, steep steps, but the staff were lovely and the hotel room itself was just what I needed. Centrally located, quiet, and safe. Nice.

For people with mobility problems this may not be the ideal place to stay. Steep, narrow staircases, and if they had a lift I can only imagine it was cramped. Do check with them first if you need to make sure.

central location. good for bars and restaurants. car park close by. friendly and helpful staff. (Julian was lovely!). comfortable bed. air conditioning. Julian helped with taking bags to room as no lift.

Bathroom was not very clean when arrived. Brown rim around the sink plug hole. Orange stains on shower floor (sign of bacteria). Housekeeping the next day did a better job of cleaning the stains! Made bed but didn’t change sheets or towels - just hung up the ones we used. They didn’t replace the bottles of water we used the day before.

The location was on a quiet pedestrian street, in the centre if the city. The staff were very friendly, and gave us all the information needed for our stay. The breakfast was good, with a good selection.

The room was very small, but we were warned about this before so it was acceptable. The only criticism was the room needed a good clean as it was very dusty.

Great rooms with pretty interior. Staff were really sweet, smiling, helpfully. Plenty room for 2 people at the hotel room. I liked that there were a coffee machine at the room, and a bottle of water. Would recommend to others!

Door to the toilet couldn't close. No elevator for baggage. We had some problemes with the parking, didn't get the mail med adresse af the basement and the code didn't work, but the staff came running just a second after we called then, no problem afterwords.

Optimal and central position, room with dicreet space, clean room, nice and available staff. I liked the style of the hotel and I appreciated that the forniture is new.

I would add a towel handler close to the sink, plus I would advise guests of the presence of mosquitoes in summer: a protection on windows would be much appreciated.

Very comfortable room, great location, and secure parking close to hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. Lille was excellent for a short city break, with hotel close to main square and a good choice of restaurants.

There was some noise from an adjacent property but this stopped later in the evening and was not loud enough to be a problem.
