Ibis budget Chambéry Centre Ville

The hotel's location was good for me, about 20 minutes walk to the city centre. The parking was okay apart from the last night I was there, when the car park was full I had to park in the public car park next door. Luckily the overnight receptionist kept an eye on it to make sure I didn't get charged. The room was reasonably sized and clean. The breakfast was the typical cold French buffet and was perfectly okay. The city centre was lively at night with plenty of restaurants and bars to visit.

I thought bathroom was a little small. Everything worked fine in there but it was a little cramped when using the toilet.

Love the great welcome, super staff and rooms always very clean and comfortable..you can rely on the standard..this mat be a budget hotel but as far as we can see after many years using this company, you get cleanliness, co fort affordability..great staff and superb breakfast..I always ask for extra pillows, never a problem.

Everything was really good

Great position near the highway, very convenient for a stop in a middle of a long journey. Room clean and tidy, private parking outside the hotel (not very big, but on the street in front of the hotel there're many parking spaces). Good breakfast in the morning (offered from a very early hour, which again is very usefull if you're travelling The bathroomand have just made a stop for the night).

The bathroom is not very big, but that's not a big problem if you stop just for one night (as we did).

Tiny rooms and the double bed was only 1,40m wide Room was clean and breakfast really simple. Only kind of cut meat was ham. Bread was fresh and the coffee was good. Friendly staff at check in but the ladies taking care of breakfast could do a better job. After all good value for money. Conveniently close to the highway when traveling to the Alps

We stayed there for a night. The hotel is really close to the city center which is ideal. The free parking lot is convenient. Small but cozy and handy room. Wi-Fi works quite well. It is nice to know that you can get a pizza delivered at the hotel. Breakfast isn't expensive but is lacking a bit of variety.. You get what you paid for. If you like sports, there are some fitness exercises in the staircase. Overall good experience, perfect for a night or two.

We didn't get any towel nor soap. We checked-in the left, only came back during the evening and no one was at the reception so we couldn't ask for it. Unfortunate but not the end of the world. The check-out is a bit unclear, as there is no-one at the reception. You basically just leave.

The ibis budget in Chambéry is good as a budget hotel. The rooms are relatively cheap, and Chambéry is a good location to explore the surrounding areas from. The room itself had all the basic necessities. A bed that's more comfortable than I have experienced in the past (we slept on it for over 3 weeks without any problems), and the room has a small bathroom with a shower, as well as some coat hangers, which were very useful to dry any wet jackets after a day of hiking. The rooms were serviced every day, which surprised us pleasantly. The room got clean towels every day, and the bed sheets were replaced every other day. The staff were very welcoming and amazingly friendly. All members of staff spoke English very well, which exceeded our expectations. The staff would even help us fill up our water bottles every morning! We stayed in this hotel longer than regular customers would, and as a "home base" from which to explore the Savoie region, it matched our needs perfectly.

There was nothing to dislike!

The room was small but clean and well organized. The breakfast was good even if it had a limited selection of bread, pastries, fruit and yogurt.

There are few car parking spots for the size of the hotel and some are a little difficult to maneuver in and out. The bathroom was really a little too small. The room has no cabinets and limited provision to hang clothes and place objects around.

Stayed here for one night only. Clean and tidy rooms. Helpful staff. Easily walkable location to the city, train station and local busses.

Not super cosy rooms but works absolutely fine for a short stay.

Large basic adequate clean room and bathroom. A 10-15 min walk into town with multiple bars and restaurants. English speaking receptionist was good. Lots of free on-site parking. We did not have breakfast.

Road works made it difficult to find. Better signage from the hotel would help.

easy check-in, perfect for one-night-stays, breakfast fine, city center in walking distance, VERY nice staff.

Unfortunately there is no family discount, so we had to rent two rooms, which makes a one-night stay quite expensive für family + 3 kids.
