Novotel Bordeaux Lac

I was so impressed with the staff when we arrived the rooms were on different floors I requested change to our preference and we had adjacent rooms the next morning. The premises are kid friendly with a tech and games room our two kids loved it and the pool was perfect. Rooms comfortable and air conditioned. A great bar and cocktails! Adjoins a beautiful lake and a beach.. Adequate car parking and very easy access to the light rail.to the city centre. Breakfast was well presented and a great selection ( Id like more fresh veggies and fruit)

We used the hotel as a stop over on our way to our holiday home. The staff we extremely friendly, and accommodating we had driven most of the night and were able to check in early with our baby and get some sleep. Hotel is clean and beds were comfortable. Pool looked great, although we didn’t use it due to weather. I have to give major credit to the water machine in the lobby, it was fantastic to have ice cold water both still and bubbly. Perfect place to fill water bottles day and night. Never had this in a hotel but I really appreciated having it. Hotel is right beside a tram stop, you don’t hear the trams but it’s perfect to have and gives a direct line to Bordeaux.

The rooms are slightly outdated and could use some upgrading but it’s not that for the price we paid it was a large negative.

Nice hotel - perfect for a couple of night's in Bordeaux. Whilst the hotel isn't anything special on the outside, the bar and restaurant area looked more contemporary. The food in the restaurant was good, with options for both kids and vegetarians. Our kids particularly enjoyed the games area, with chess, and Xbox and table football, as well as the pool! Convenient location for travel by tram into the city centre, and very useful to have a hotel with parking.

The room was a little snug once we had both beds out (to sleep 2 adults and 2 children) with our luggage as well.

The place was clean, well maintained and up to date.

The front drop off point is very narrow to loading and unloading.

Good restaurant. Good breakfast selection. Private car parking.

Lack of communication between restaurant and hotel reception. Both at the evening restaurant and at breakfast staff said I had to pay for meal and for breakfast. They said it was not possible to charge to the room. I insisted that this was the only way I would pay and eventually they were able to provide this normal service. Hotel reception explained that the restaurant system is not connected to the hotel system. Accor please wake up. No milk for tea and coffee making in the room.

Great, clean hotel. Location was perfect for us being by the stadium and it is simple to get into downtown Bordeaux thanks to the Tram right outside. Staff were great. Breakfast was great.

Small thing but we are travelling with our 1.5yo daughter who goes to sleep at 7 and you can’t get dinner before 7. There are a few sandwiches etc available but not a great selection. Dinner options were limited as well and not a lot around the area as an alternative.

Lovely staff, nice breakfast with lots of choice. Room was small for a family of four but for a short stay it was fine. Kids enjoyed the pool. Location is so so easy to get tram into city but when it's hot and you've got tired kids it feels a long way. Loved the fridge!

The hotel was so amazing and blew us away. You get the best of both worlds with the hotel location its in a quiet area surrounded by water and you have the tram 3 mins walk from the hotel that takes you straight into town in less than 15 mins. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable and clean and the staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful they helped made the trip one to remember. The outdoors area was just perfect in the afternoon sitting outside by the pool with cocktails was so amazing. I would 100% recommend this hotel to friends, couples and families. If I ever visit Bordeaux again I'll be staying there.

There isn't much i didn't like.I liked everything. The only thing i would say is if you want to take a taxi into town book it well in advance or you'll be waiting at least 15-20 mins because of the traffic in France. But like i said the Tram connection is so good that you wouldn't need a taxi that much. I wish we figured this out beforehand.

Facilities were great: small outdoor swimming pool, play area for children, water fountain bar to top up water bottles, fitness club, free parking and dog well accommodated. Staff also very friendly. Breakfast had a good variety of food including healthy foods and including different types of milk such as soya and almond.

Overall very good and good price compared with other hotels we have been on our journey.
