Hôtel La Maison Bord'eaux

We liked Isabelle. She knew the city, made excellent recommendations in regard to restaurants, and she showed me ancient Roman ruins which were down the street. She made reservations for us at restaurants that the locals patronized. The recommendations were the best! And...here's where Isabelle was really a star and saved us from frustration: when a railroad strike broke out after we already had tickets on SCFN, she helped us rent a car to Paris, which was our destination. She did this for several other families at the same time.

Small, friendly , very comfortable bed.

Stairs are very steep, no lift, not at a easy to use carrying luggage almost dangerous. Rooms 109 and 110.

Lovely hotel with parking, right in the city. It has a serene air about it. The staff were friendly, informative and very helpful. Isabelle greeted us on arrival and was extremely welcoming. She explained the parking, where to visit and even booked us into a restaurant for the evening. Thankyou! The room looked onto the Street (a little noisy sometimes…but you are in the city!) and a courtyard.It was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was continental style, although there were bacon and scrambled eggs to select if you wanted a hot plate. Croissants were delicious with plenty of different jams to try. A great place to stay, we walked everywhere and enjoyed both the Cite du Vin and a wine tasting lesson in Le Pied a Terre.

This hotel's decor is well-thought-out and adds to the overall charm of the property. The staff members were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, and we appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. Additionally, the hotel is located within reasonable walking distance from the city center, making it a convenient base for exploring Bordeaux. We had an excellent overall experience and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

There was nothing that we did not like.

A very friendly welcome, convenient underground parking, helpful sightseeing advice, super bedroom and bathroom, comfy bed. Quiet location just a short walk from a tram stop. Restaurant suggestions and a restaurant booked for us. Unfortunately the selected restaurant had a major power failure so the hotel took the initiative and booked us elsewhere - we had an amazing meal, and it was only a few minutes walk away. Superb breakfast.

The lady at the front desk was lovely at check in and gave us a map and directions to downtown. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Our AC wasn't working when we first got in, but they fixed it quite quickly while we were out. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't do the breakfast at the hotel, as we spent the whole day out, but the courtyard where people were eating was beautiful. The location of the hotel was excellent for us, not in the heart of downtown so it was a bit quieter, but a nice short walk away.

We didn't spend too much time at the hotel, so I can't really comment on much we didn't like.

The location was quiet, and the hotel staff was welcoming and eager to help us with every aspect of our visit. Our experience was great. We only had a one-night stay, and the staff went out of their way to assist us with our afternoon walking directions and dining suggestions. They secured airport taxi reservations for the following morning. They accommodated the 6 of us in the breakfast room for our evening snack (which we brought) and breakfast was ready at 7 AM with cheerful employees and plenty of food choices.

No suggestions as everything was more than acceptable.

This was a very nice facility. Our room was large with a large deck. The bed was comfortable, shower worked very well, AC was excellent, staff was kind, helpful, and professional. The staff helped us find a location to keep our car for a week while we were on a river trip.

We had a problem with the laundry service which has not yet been resolved. We sent 5 items to the hotel Laundry service with explicit instructions as to which were laundered and which dry cleaned. Unfortunately the person at the service decided to wash a pair of silk shorts and my favorite rayon blouse instead of dry cleaning. Both were ruined. I added the blouse at the last moment and was so sorry I did. The hotel promised to follow up, but so far there is no credit on our account 11 days later. Apparently they had had another issue with this same service and should look into using a different one.

I loved the fact that it is situated only ten minutes walking distance from the city, the area was beautiful and very quite. The decor is absolutely beautifully, the patio is gorgeous. I can’t say enough about the staff they friendly and very profession. The information they provided us on how to get around Bordeaux was very good. The breakfast was very good and I enjoyed he variety of food. Than you so much making us feel at home.

I can’t really think of any thing I would change, just continue providing the great service to your guest.

Breakfast was very average, scrambled egg was old and lumpy on one day and then like custard on another day! bread kept running out and long wait for them to cook extra!! Maybe you should have some toasting bread available as well?
