Hôtel de Normandie

Great location right by the excellent tram system. (My friends said they heard the tram at night but I did not.) Big, comfortable beds, well-equipped showers, plenty of space for suitcases and ample storage. I did not eat breakfast in the hotel as I prefer going to local cafes and boulangeries. My friend's AC did not work well (mine did) but they came to check in on all the rooms the next morning. Staff made helpful recommendations for dinner and helped arrange for taxi to the airport. Recommend!

Great location, wonderful staff, very helpful. Easy access to all the key sites in Bordeaux. The bathroom was great and shower perfect.

The single room with balcony was overcome by a huge boxy tv stand that blocked access to the terrace and even getting around the room. The other single room option my friend had was facing a brick wall and smelled a bit of smoke. Mine would have been great without the box though. Other larger rooms on our floor looked very nice though.

This is a lovely hotel. The location is great, the room was comfortable and very clean. Ensuite bathroom was good. The rooms have a Nespresso machine but with 2 coffee pods only which felt very few. And one small UHT milk pod, a little bit of milk in the fridge would be nice. And there was only one main plug in the room to charge phones etc, there is another plug in the bathroom, but an additional plug for charging phones etc in a room for two would be helpful. Nevertheless the room was great.

Great location, helpful and friendly staff, quick response when help was needed. Rooms were clean, spacious and incredibly comfortable. There's a carpark less than a 5min walk, shops & waterfront less than 10min walk.

Breakfast selection was a bit slim, but I think this has more to do with cultural differences than the hotel choosing not to have a larger selection.

Perfect bathtub, very comfortable bed and excellent location. Staff was top notch and helpful. Breakfast choices were well done.

I don’t like carpet in rooms but it was clean. Blackout curtains were hung very high so hard to open/close-and no sheer privacy curtains. Bed was on wheels that did not lock.

We paid extra for a 5th floor room which was really spacious and light and had a balcony with stunning views over trees to the river Garonne. Location was excellent

Breakfast a bit average compared with other hotels in which we stayed during our trip through south west France.

We had a superior double room overlooking Quinconces with its beautiful trees and all the noise and bustle of the trams and people enjoying the city space. The room is spacious well appointed including a kettle, and all very clean.

Shame we couldn't stay longer

The room exceeded my expectations, very comfortable, big bathroom, comfy beds and a great view. Breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect, near restaurants, tourism office right acroos the street. Couldn't have asked for better.

my room was looking at the tramways in the street and I could here the noise and feel the vibrations despite the double windows. There was only one electrical plug in the room
