Hotel Restaurant Bellevue

Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful--especially, Marie provided excellent service. Cleanliness of the rooms, free coffee by helpful restaurant staff, location of the hotel in easy walking distance from restaurants and the castle, and free parking made this hotel a superior value.

Our suite was a two bedroom/two bathroom suite: one bathroom had great lighting and a hair-dryer installed, but the other bathroom had bad lighting and no hair dryer; that situation was inconvenient. Also, the noise of the air conditioning unit was inconsistent and sometimes woke us. Breakfast buffet was okay but not great.

We stayed in a suite with a private terrace and it was quite lovely. The main room was a sleeping room with a queen and a single bed set aside enough to offer good separation. This main room led to a large sun room which was a comfortable sitting room and bar area with a double slider that opened up to a very large and comfortable outdoor terrace overlooking the Loire River and with a castle view. Exceptional!

Only thing I can think of would be a safety bar to assist in getting into and out of the shower tub. We were able but that would be a nice addition.

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception staff. Even before our arrival they responded promptly to all our questions and arranged a return taxi ti visit Chenonceau. The room, bed linens, bathroom and towels were all very clean. This was a good 3 star hotel, very good location for the centre of Amboise. I would recommend staying here.

The decor was very dark with dark brown walls and purple curtains. Could be a lot more welcome if lighter and brighter.

The location in the old town of Amboise couldn't be better. Right next to the chateau and with a river view. Easy walk to a variety of restaurants. Very good breakfast. Also has a bar and restaurant. Appreciated the elevator. The staff was courteous and accommodating.

The rooms were small. The bed was just moderately comfortable. The price is a little high for what you get. Not the best value for your money, but I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

This was a charming property located just steps from the castle. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. My kids loved the room set up and enjoyed this town very much.

There was a slight smell, probably due to the extreme heat and humidity outside. The a/c worked well though and kept us very cool and comfortable during our stay.

Loved the air-conditioning. Our room was very comfortable and modern decor. Location fantastic, short walk to main shops and attractions. Staff very helpful.

The bed was a bit too soft for me. Some parts of the hotel (lift, corridors) are a bit old and dated. I didn't like the shower over the bath.

The staff, Marie in particular, were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the fact that it was a family room was wonderful. The bathrooms were very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect and central to visit the main châteaux.

Great central location. Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Air conditioning!

Only negative was a loud repetitive noise in the walls outside our third floor apartment that made it s little challenging to fall asleep. If that was due to the AC, it was worth it.

Location is central, great view of the Loire, parking nearby, restaurant and wine bar in hotel. Some very interesting local wines from rare grape varieties.

Difficulty two years in a row to validate Visa card. Problem not of my making

The view from my room was stunning. The room vas very comfortable. The reception arranged taxis to/from the train station. I think this should be a 4* hotel.
