Our stay at Hotel Lero was fantastic! The staff worked tremendously hard to ensure we had the best experience. Our room was beautiful and overlooked the ocean. The food was excellent with a lot of variety (both breakfast and dinner). Everything was clean. It was a short walking distance (20-25mins) from Dubrovnik (for young couples it’s really an easy, pleasant walk), for older couples there is a direct bus just outside the hotel. We both had an amazing time. What we loved too were the small touches, when there was a tiny issue that the hotel resolved very quickly, they sent us a fruit basket and wine - it just showed how much they value their customers. A brilliant place to stay - I really do recommend it, you’ll have an amazing time! (P.S. When you go (and you 100% should), be aware Dubrovnik is both stunningly beautiful and pretty expensive. To climb the walls around the city it’s now 35 Euros each (but it covers the 15 Euros entry to the small castle outside the city too [which they didn’t tell us at the walls]), and to visit Lokrum (the island nature reserve next to Dubrovnik) it’s 27 Euros each. The cable car to the fort is rather extortionately priced too - but you can walk up there - my partner and I did and the views are spectacular (it is one heck of a trek though - don’t do it if the weather is really hot or you’ll really struggle). There is also a small city tax you have to pay at the end of your stay which for us after 14 days was about £80. I would say, without doubt, the expense is worth it, but it’s something to be aware of and to budget for. A top tip is if you are in the city and you want something small to eat, there is a bakery outside the city walls (just outside the opposite end of the city to Hotel Lero). The bakery is much cheaper than any food outlet within the walls, and the sausage rolls, donuts etc are great!

Everything was brilliant.

The hotel deserves the highest rates. The room is spacious, clean and warm, bathroom has bath what is rare. Stay there was comfortable. I was impressed by staff which is kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are perfect. My dreaam is to revisit Hotel Lero at summer and immerse myself in the lovely swimming pool in courtyard. Perfect stay at Hotel Lero, congratulations to staff and management team.

We stayed in this hotel before and will definitely stay again. We booked 3 family rooms and they were spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was great, staff as well. Location is convenient for visitig Old town, bus stop is in front of the hotel. Restaurant Taj Mahal is next door and we had an amazing meal there. Loved this hotel!

Where do I start...before we even arrived we were upgraded to Hotel Lero's sister property, Villa Orabelle, a short walk away and in an even better position than Hotel Lero. Villa Orabelle is just amazing, right on the cliff looking down over the beautiful beach below. The staff were amazing, the a la carte breakfast was so good and we kept pinching ourselves because we couldn't believe how lucky we were. The infinity pool and gazebo's were so relaxing. As a way of saying thanks, we actually went to Hotel Lero's restaurant, Taj Mahal, and had some fantastic traditional Bosnian food. This was a major highlight of our Balkans holiday.

That we had to leave and continue on our holiday, it was that good.

Excellent value for money. The hotel is located a 15-minute easy walk from the old part of the city. If you don't want to walk, bus line number 4 goes every 20 minutes from the station in the immediate vicinity of the hotel to the old part of the city and the ticket price is €2. The hotel staff is very friendly, the room is extremely clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. Given that parking prices are extremely high in Dubrovnik, the hotel has an outdoor parking lot with plenty of spaces and parking is free of charge, which is also a very important fact for those arriving by car. Rating 10 from me!!!

Dubrovnik is one of our favorite destinations when we visit Croatia. Hotel Lero is clean, nice room, wonderful restaurant with very good organization. The room was clean and comfortable with a large and functional bathroom. Honestly, if you are in Croatia, don't hesitate. Thank you to the people at the reception, from the restaurant, from cleaning who were very kind and communicative. Breakfast and dinner were Swedish buffet, very tasty and delicious. The dinners were great and varied. We did not pay extra for outside parking.

The property was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a great location as it’s only about 10 or 15 minutes walk from the old town. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel. There is a slight hill walking back to the hotel from Pile gate so we got the bus home at night time. It’s about four stops from Pile and the bus is very frequent . So handy. It’s a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was gorgeous with great selections. All the staff were so efficient and polite. I would highly recommend Hotel Lero and I would definitely stay here again if visiting Dubrovnik. They can also organise any of the tours from the hotel and you get picked up outside the hotel and returned to the hotel . We got the bus from the bus stop near the hotel to Pile gate the day we were returning home and then got the airport shuttle bus to the airport. The airport shuttle bus stops beside the cable car which is about four or five minutes walk from Pile Gate. It’s very cheap in comparison to taxi. The times of the airport shuttle pass depends on the times of flight so it changes daily. I would recommend that service also. All in all we had a fabulous time in Dubrovnik and would highly recommend Hotel Lero

The hotel is located in Lapad, 2 km from the Old town. To me, it was the perfect location to stay because is close enough to the Old town so you can go and visit it or have dinner there, but at the same time, it was also a quiet zone where you do not experience the hassle and the massive tourism and crowdy tours that go to the city center. In front of the hotel, there is a bus station where you can take bus number 4 (good frequency - 15 minutes) and go either to the Old Town in 5 minutes or to the Sunset Beach in 10 minutes. You can also walk to any of these places (around a 1.5 km walk). The hotel offers tickets for the bus which is very nice and practical. The rooms were huge, very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The swimming pool was great and the breakfast had a lot of options.

Everything was fantastic, and this is just a very very small thing to improve: As mentioned, the breakfast was great, however, the coffee machine makes a bad-quality coffee, and it is a pity because the rest of the things are very good! I believe that if they just invest in a different coffee machine/coffee supplier, the breakfast would be superb.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. This really made our stay! The Piano Bar at the hotel is wonderful - a great atmosphere, good selection of drinks and some lovely food. Also great coffee and cake deal available! Staff here were also fab. A great place to go after a day of sightseeing, just to relax and enjoy the hotel. The hotel is about a 15/20 minute walk to the Old Town, so a great location. Depending on your mobility, you can also easily get a bus into town, the number 4, with a bus stop very close by (buy bus tickets at the hotel to make it cheaper, 12K, or on the bus with the correct money for 15K per person each way). The walk into town is superb, with great views of the coast (Stop for a drink and some out-of-this-world finger food at Fratellos along the way, amazing coastal views and fabulous staff). It is downhill all the way into town, so it's nice to get the bus back to the hotel! You can buy bus tickets in town right by the bus stop, from the kiosk (not open on Sundays). Sneak a visit to the hidden 'Bellevue Beach' off the beaten track, 10 minute walk from the hotel (though there are lots of steps to get down to it, and not great if you don't like heights!). The room itself (Family Room, two bedrooms) was nicely decorated, very clean, very large, and the beds were made up each morning, with fresh towels provided. Very comfortable beds too. All air-conditioned. There was a separate toilet, bathroom with bath and shower-over, two sinks. There was also an additional in-room shower in the main double bedroom which was amazing! There was a kettle and coffee/tea bags, though only cream and not milk provided (you can buy milk from the mini market just down the road, or buy from the restaurant). Bottles of water and glasses provided. TVs in both bedrooms, along with a fridge, bedside tables and lamps. Very large built-in wardrobe in the hallway.

A few very minor things! The hairdryer is a wall attachment one, so best to bring your own (or you can ask for a proper one at Reception). There were not many sunbeds around the pool area (though perhaps they put out more in summer, this was early May).

Everything was perfect.
