Brentwood Bay Resort

I love staying at BBR&S. in the past two years my husband and I have booked and stayed multiple times. great service, great food, excellent staff and amazing views from the room of Brentwood Bay and the Malahat across the water. the outdoor heated pool is amazing. nothing like looking up at the starry night while laying in the warmth of the pool.

the toilet in my room (207) constantly ‘ran’. I took the tank lid off to observe what was happening and the plug for the flush mechanism does not seal properly. it took 14 minutes for the water in the tank to drain out enough that it triggers the tank to fill up again. Thus, causing the toilet to constantly run. I kept the door to the toilet closed. we were in this room for four nights……. I did let the front desk know and left my contact number in case more information was needed. I remember being in this room during a previous stay and I asked to move because of the toilet. I see that it still hasn’t been fixed many months later.

Beautiful property with excellent views of the marina and mountains. The hotel design was very appealing and the pool area was great, also with nice views. I liked the pub and breakfast. I had the best eggs Benedict I have ever had. The rooms were super cozy with fireplace and a nice balcony. I liked having a fridge. The staff was super nice and helpful. Free parking was nice. Having a Spa is very special

There was nothing I did not like

The room was spacious and beautiful. The view of the marina was gorgeous. We loved the fireplace. The hot tub and heated pool at the resort was fantastic.

We ran out of toilet paper halfway through our stay and they hadn’t provided a second roll in the room so we had to request one. There was a long dark hair on the pillow when we arrived (neither of us have long dark hair and we had only just entered the room) so we opted to set that pillow aside and not use it. They knocked on the door at 9 a.m. on the day we were checking out and seemed surprised to see us, but check out wasn’t until 11 a.m. and we were trying to sleep in.

I loved how the jet bathtub looked into the living room. We had our patio door open the entire time & it was very quite &, private. The heated pool & hot tub were amazing! The staff were extremely helpful & welcoming :) We got our very first hot stone massages & it was the best message I've had in my life & I've gone over 10 times in the past year, we also got a first time message booking discount which saved us almost $100 😀 I would recommend this place & come back!

The ONLY thing i wish you offered your guest would be an extra comforter for the bed. We like sleeping with the window open and it wasn't cold we would of just liked one more blanket to FEEL snuggled up :)

Location was beautiful. Got a free glass of sea cider. They had non-alcoholic version as well. Which is great because I don't drink. My spouse enjoyed hers too. We had dinner in the pub. Food was very good. Wife got a body scrub by Lorraine and loved it. Brunch was delicious and very well price considering what most places charge in Victoria. The place is so beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. King sized bed and jetted tub were awesome too.

Nothing I can think of

Very clean, lovely room overlooking the water and Brentwood Bay ferry.

Finding out there is only one room in the hotel that accommodates clients with mobility issues. My husband requires a bar in the shower and by the toilet because of balance issues. It’s unfortunate we cannot stay here as a couple unless that one room is available. All hotels should have these safety bars in the bathrooms for people of all age groups. Just something to consider.

Quiet, clean , great location right by the ferry to mill bay.. staff very friendly.. great view of bay from our room.. delicious dinner at pub on site with fantastic and friendly service.. we stayed one night to enjoy the Christmas light displays at Butchart Garden, less than 10 minutes away.. didn’t get a chance to use pool or spa but they both looked amazing.. would definitely stay here again!

We liked everything!

Location: Away from all the noise and traffic that comes with hotels downtown. The rooms are large and comfortable. The fireplace is a nice touch. The hotel is small allowing the atmosphere to be very relaxing unlike larger places full of chaos and frenetic activity.

So minor it hardly bears mentioning but the entrance sign could be a little more visible. Maybe that's on purpose. Once you know where it is though it's really easy. Otherwise, we have nothing.

Lovely hotel on the water. Room was large, bed comfortable and the views are really lovely. Food at the pub was good and we hired kayaks for a couple of hours which was great fun and a brilliant way to see the Bay. The big jet bath with views through to the Bay was also a real treat.

We didn’t have a car with us and beyond the water sports there aren’t too many walks etc and we didn’t venture up into the town to try any other restaurants. One day wasn’t long enough to enjoy the place though so we booked an extra night when a room became available. It’s pricey but worth it.

The rooms are beautiful, the tubs are great, check in was smooth, they allow dogs which is great, the heated pool was really nice in the winter

Be cautious booking a massage because they are not all RMTs and I wasn’t able to claim my expensive massage. It was a little disappointing to see the new years event was so expensive as we would have liked to attend.
