The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa

The staff were wonderful, the location was perfection with all shopping, restaurants and ocean strolls being within walking distance and the view was impeccable. We will be happily returning for another stay.

We were not told that the parking was pay parking, we found out when we received our bill. That was a shame because we had friends close by where we could have parked for free. It's fine to charge just let the client know when you ask if they'd like to park at the hotel. We had trouble with our meal at he restaurant. They took our food to the wrong table and left us sitting for about 40 minutes without anything. We've had this unfortunate incident happen to us once before at another restaurant and they took one meal off the bill to apologize. Here we were charged full price anyway even with the long wait which was a little annoying. The food was not really worth waiting for but the lovely waitress was wonderful and did her best.

Beautiful oceanside location, great access to the pier and walks along the water. Spacious, clean, quiet and well lit room, nice bathroom and toiletries. We had a very early ferry to catch, so we didn't have time to take advantage of the spa facilities.

When the shift changed at reception, communication was not good. I had let the front desk know that my fiancé would be arriving late after a meeting and that he didn't have a key. I gave them his name and what room number it was associated with. I was already asleep as we had a 5 AM wake-up but the night desk clerk had none of this information and didn't want to allow him access. The result was that when my fiancé was finally allowed to take the elevator, he had to knock on the door and wake me (and possibly other guests) to access the room.

The cleanliness was there, the staff was polite and professional, the location perfect and the view was beautiful. The flowers were lovely and the ocean called to us. We loved our stay. My son and I loved the location and we loved the town. it was an unexpected treat and a lovely part of our trip. Thank you. Remo and Patty

Outstanding and exception reception from Karen. This function can be the point of difference from lots of hotels that all have great locations and beds and comfort. But Karen gave us one of the best reception and helpful hints throughout her shift. Congrats Karen and thank you for making this visit so memorable

Price - All travel industry aspects are inflated due Covid but the price meant we were only able to stay the one night. Would loved to have stayed much longer.

Lovely facilities, room and bed, European styled bathroom Room temperature controls great and large Juliette balcony with door. Sea breezes Great TV reception on large flat TV with fool proof control Powerful wireless internet (but see below)

Important wireless internet room instructions for Apple products are on reverse of small internet password paper! You never see these unless you happen to turn slip of paper over by chance! Otherwise you have to call office to solve your internet problem. Just turn over the slip of paper with password on it, I guess. Other is a lovely room.

The coffee grounds were loose in the pkt & on opening it, too much coffee spilled onto the rug.. I was expecting it to be contained in its own packet within the package. Just saying. That also eliminates the need for filters. The bathroom sink taps. Caught my fingers twice against the wall from the right tap. Too close to the wall.

We would have preferred a sit down venue that was part of the Hotel Proper not also a setting for access for the public. Sometimes even a buffet breakfast as part of the Hotel Reservation is just fine with us also. What we did get from the Hotel Breakfast Buy spot was ok.

Only the breakfast eating area. When we are in Sydney again we would stay at the Hotel ...love the location. Didn’t have time this past visit to explore as much as we would want for a future visit.

the location was nice

considering the luxury feel there were like no channels. would be nice if they had tables outside that were clean as the ones on the pier were full of poop. and a pool! the beach is pretty yucky. a pool would make this place way better because the town is small and can be boring

The location was the reason we tried it, the hotel experience means we will be back! Close to the airport, but might even consider staying longer, the area has a lot to offer. Once you have stayed in downtown Victoria several times, it’s time to look elsewhere?

The property and room had very very few flaws👌 The light fixture over the table/chairs was buzzy, so had to keep it off, but other than that…? The real cream in the fridge for my coffee made my day🙂

Didn't have breakfast at the hotel but the dinner I had the night before was memorable - great seafood salad and bouillabaisse. Nice fire table and view outside. Great service form servers. Was alone and had friendly chat with a couple who were there for their anniversary. Happy Anniversary Gerry and Dianne!

Parking was a little challenging to decipher the signage on the various spots that were shared by other facilities than the hotel. But that got sorted
