Windsor Guest House

It was nice to have it located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle. It was a short short taxi or Lyft ride away from the train station where we arrived and also to most attractions and the port where we boarded our cruise ship. Breakfast was great with made to order eggs,fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The staff were polite and accommodating. The room was nice with a comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. Overall a great place to stay.

It was difficult to understand the instructions through the ring doorbell. Fortunately there was a guest on the front porch who helped us out.

Loved the ambiance, the old building with its beautiful stained glass, old rugs, quirky features like the rotary light switches in the upper stairway, the little balcony, the sinks in the individual rooms. The staff was super helpful and kind, the breakfast was yummy and plentiful, the location can't be beat for hospital and SkyTrain access. And the views from the top floor suite were awesome!

Only one complaint: it happened to be essentially the first warm weather of the spring, and maybe the programming hadn't caught up to the weather, but all the radiators were blasting out heat the whole time (one night). It wasn't really a problem, we just opened up windows and the balcony door.

Communication was good and the code to access the property was sent on the morning of arrival. On entering we found an envelope with our room details waiting. We had the 2 bedroom suite which was more than adequate for our needs and it was comfortable and quiet. We took the skytrain from the airport and it was only about a 10 minute walk (uphill) to Windsor Guest House. There are many bars/cafes and coffee shops within easy walking distance. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed and breakfast was good.

Clean,.comfortable bed. Good sized room. Breakfast delivered to room. Idealisation for Coty Hall (we were seeing friends just nearby. Great little shopping mall/food court just nearby.

Really nothing to complain about. It is operated remotely but there are arrangements to let guests in and instructions once you are in. A regular house turned into a guest house, so don't expect hotel luxuries. 20 minutes walk from Olympic Village.

The breakfast was wonderful. The View from room window was beautiful. Theme and style of the house (trim, casings, moulding) was well done, and had a nice heartwarming experience to it. Well worth the stay and for the price. Close proximity to downtown, close by to Cambie bridge, and a plentiful amount of options nearby for food, and shopping. Excellent location to stay and able to travel without being too far away from the main Metro area of Vancouver.

Limited parking. This of course, is just how the area is and there’s nothing that can be done to change it. Overall, it wasn’t too bad, was able to always find a nearby parking spot. The amount of public parking without requiring a permit is limited, but again, that is just how the area is and there’s nothing that can be done to fix or change that. Doesn’t effect the quality of the stay inside the house though.

The guest house was in a lovely residential area with just a short 5 minute walk to get to the Canada Line station to get to the waterfront or city centre. You can also easily get to and from the airport on this. The whole guest house was a really nice building and the bed was extremely comfy. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing on the front porch as well. We would highly recommend this place.

Nothing. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a lovely old house that’s well situated to explore Vancouver. It’s very clean and the staff are wonderful. We had a very comfortable stay and there really is no better deal for the price as far as hotels in Vancouver are concerned.

Because this is an older house the walls are thin. We had good luck while we were there and were not bothered by noisy neighbors but I could imagine it being an issue in the wrong situation. of course the owners have no control over this and I don’t fault them at all.

Loved the quant Victorian house. Laura was exceptional and had our room ready to drop our bags. It was peaceful and quiet, though close to transit. Easy transfer from the cruise ship and then to the airport the next day. The breakfast area was cozy and the eggs were delicious.

Being a century-old house, the charm was present. This was one of the hotter days in Vancouver and we were on the sunny side of the house which made for an exceptionally hot sleeping night. We were able to keep the windows open and a fan was provided. With wet washcloths cooled in the mini fridge and a cool shower in the spacious bathroom shower we made it through the night and rested well.

Very clean when arrived and had large room with a fridge. They cancelled breakfast but generously stocked fridge with fruit muffins and other breakfast items. The house common areas were nicely looked after. The location was amazing and the price was great, plus they provided discount for not serving breakfast. Which was advertised on the website.

The pandemic still being used to not clean rooms. Refund offered for breakfast but staying 5 nights they didn't empty garbage or do anything at all during my stay. I finally took my garbage out myself as it was getting smelly. I was having to try to clean drip coffee maker in my bathroom along with coffee mugs glasses etc. No cleaning supplies ie dishwashing liquid,I think it was kind of unnecessary to have no housekeeping at all. Once housekeeping back this place would be at top of my list and even now I'd recommend for the price and location.

Charming, renovated, old Vancouver home...a venture into the city's residential history. I can recommend this place with no hesitation. Lovely service of breakfast; menu of freshly prepared egg dishes to choose from as well as cold buffet foods. I had the French Toast and it was delicious. Easy walk to train station for connecting to city center, sea bus, etc.

I found nothing to criticize at all, but there are stairs to the front door which may not be appropriate for some guests.
