Comfort Inn & Suites Airport North

Out of the way property in an industrial area. No scrubs and undesirables hanging around. Clean property(I seen a worker sweeping up the parking lot early in the morning). Lots of free parking,,,easy to get in and out. Close to Banff freeway entrance/exit,,,easy and quick to get on and off the freeway. IMO,,,it’s a gem of a place to stay,,,not crowded and the staff were helpful. The hotel has: An elevator, swimming pool(closes at 10 pm), free breakfast(6:30—>9am), fitness room(24 hrs), ice machines, floor level shower, USB charging, fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. WiFi was excellent/fast, and changing channels on the TV was quick.

Close to the freeway so there’s traffic noise all night. At least if you’re on the traffic side. It didn’t bother my child tho and I used ear plugs so it was not a problem(Maybe ask to stay on the side opposite the freeway if you’re a light sleeper). Breakfast women staff could smile. They did their jobs fine but,,,did not look like they enjoyed working(looked mad both days). Apple/orange juice was watery. Eggs rubbery and round sausages could be cooked longer. A great value for a very nice property. We enjoyed our stay and we’re upgraded for our anniversary to a fantastic room. The room was clean and updated. Bed is very comfortable and room had a great walk in shower and hot tub. Complementary shuttle is excellent as is proximity to airport. We were return customers and will definitely stay here again.

Note that the location does not have a restaurant but has a breakfast in the morning. Although there is not too much to do around the property there is a complementary shuttle and a restaurant walking distance.

The room was great, roomy, comfortable.

We went down for breakfast around 8:30 and the supply was pretty sparse. The staff in there seemed quite disorganized and unprepared, but they know how busy the hotel is and should be better at planning. One guest asked for a cloth or someone to wipe their table (all tables had been used & dirty). She rolled her eyes and shook her head behind a few guests' backs when they asked if she could wipe theirs too. Advice? Be mindful of your facial expressions and body language, often carry more weight than your words. I could have overlooked that they're busy and hard to keep up with the food and beverages, but her behavior left a real bad impression.

We got stranded in Calgary after WestJet cancelled our flight so needed a place to stay not too far from the airport and at a reasonable price. This place was perfect and even had free shuttle service so it was exactly what we required. The room was huge with a king bed, TV, sofa and decent bathroom. The breakfast was outstanding and they had a couple of waffle makers so you could make your own fresh waffles! We loved it. Staff were friendly too, the place was clean and the facilities were great.

If I was really being picky I would say the water pressure in the shower wasn't very good.

even though it’s close to the highway and airport you never hear the noise of either. this building was built very well to block sound inside and out. it has a home feel but a subtle elegance at the same time. it has all the nice little perks most people look for in a hotel, a tuck shop that has the things people often forget , cold drinks, snacks you can buy at 3pm or am. my trip down to the lobby for popsicles made me so happy. having popsicles in my home freezer would be a diet nightmare but such a fun treat here. the pool, hot tub, and workout room have longer hours than most hotels and breakfast is very well thought out and well made. quality over quantity. you only have three cereal choices but the scrambled eggs are fresh and actually cooked. two waffle machines with two flavours of waffle ( I’ll leave the flavours a secret you can discover on your own lol. now for the staff, it is almost impossible to explain how well manager Wendy has hired and trained the most helpful , caring professional and knowledgeable staff in all of Calgary and I’d be comfortable saying she is at the top of her profession in Canada and elsewhere. I’ve been to every province most of Europe and limited parts in the south. the Comfort Inn chain would do well to use Wendy as a training director in all their hotels, they are overlooking an asset they are privileged to have. no I’m not related I’ve just had reason to be in Calgary several times over the last four months or so and once I found this oasis I never used another hotel. this may be my last visit for some time but I know I’ll be back. this is home away from home. to all the staff ( every one of you. thank you for your compassion and understanding) the best in the business

We booked this hotel because of the location and the free shuttle service to the airport. Even though I called before to know if I could already book the shuttle and to make sure that it would be available for us, nobody informed that the service is limited. By the time we checked in, there were no more shuttles available anytime close to the time we wanted to go (we tried at least 3 different times, with 30-minute intervals), so we had to get one way ahead of our boarding time. That was very inconvenient.

It was about midnight, and after missing a connection due to some delays, we were bumped to an early morning flight and needed a bed for just a few hours. This was convenient, clean, comfortable & cost-effective. We caught the first shuttle in the am, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, grabbing us a couple of bananas for the road since the complimentary breakfast was not quite open yet.

That the complimentary breakfast was not open before the 1st shuttle of the morning.

.. the newness. And the availability of the shuttle and how accommodating hotel staff was about my returning my rental vehicle during the evening.

Breakfast….. bland and not well set up to accommodate more than two people if making waffles, toast etc. sausage was awful. Orange juice was bitter and n able to keep mixed as decanter too full. And breakfast started at 0630. 0600 would be much better , considering flight times at yyc. … lack of proximity to a decent restaurant

This is a nice hotel, close to the airport. There is shuttle service to the airport, which I did not use. The hotel is in an industrial park close to the airport, with a rather winding series of roads needed to get to it. It is modern, my room was good. Everything worked as it should. It met all my expectations. It is close to the Deerfoot Trail, a major road, which my room faced but I did not have a problem with noise. There is a coin-operated laundry, which was useful for me. There is a pool, which I did not use. There is a typical complementary breakfast, nothing exceptional.

I was there for several days, there was no real room-cleaning schedule and my room was only cleaned once. I did not mind and did not ask at the desk. They did have a posting in the lobby saying staff shortages were a problem, so maybe that was part of it.

The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely! The airport shuttle driver Lucky saved the day and got us to the airport on time. The front desk said he was full but he made room for us! Thank you Lucky!

We had an unexpected layover, we booked once we landed at midnight, and got to the hotel close to 1 am and we had to leave again at 6:30. We arrived tired and hungry. The front desk clerk could not find our reservation. Offer of water or a yogurt from the breakfast fridge would have been nice.
