Best Western Governor Gipps Motor Inn

Booked on the day at last minute, with low expectations. Just needed a place for the night and for that it was perfect. Located on Main Street, short walk to town. Easy check in. Family room was surprisingly good - comprised 2 bedrooms with a separate space for the kids, their own TV etc (not just camp beds in a normal room like some places).

Not a criticism, but this is just a basic, bed for the night hotel, no frills. For that it was perfect. But there aren't any other facilities, and it's on the main road so not really a 'destination'. Pool and restaurant not in action.

Easy parking out the front of our ground floor room. Very quiet considering they are on the highway. Incredibly clean, furnishings in very good order, quite modern except for the bed head. still functioned fine. Air conditioner ran all night keeping us comfortable, it was also really quiet. Only issue was it was tricky to get the exhaust fan working, it had a pull switch. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place to friends and family.

The motel was the older style so I was expecting it to be tired. The cleanliness was outstanding and definitely a bonus having a toaster and microwave, it was very homely and certainly very comfortable making my stay a relaxing experience. Thank you will be back if down this way

The only thing was the noise as it was on the highway, maybe double glazing if ever renovated

Absolutely immaculate. Older facilities but in complete working order.Good quality bed and linen. And a bath from heaven.

Not much. The pods machine. Hate those things. . At the price, it was perfect. It exceeded my expectations for comfort and quality.

neat and tidy rooms, good facilities and excellent location.

Hand wash and shampoo dispensers were empty. we had two rooms and both rooms had no hand wash and although we had room service the second day, they were not filled and obviously not checked.

Location was great, room was very clean and well stocked, the reception lady was very friendly at check in

Bed was a little hard, can be a little noisy from the traffic and people checking out early

The entire room was clean and comfortable, the price was fantastic, great to be able to have a cuppa and sit on the most crisp white comfortable bed and relax. Will be booking again soon, great room

Nothing to not like apart from kids waking and being noisy.

Carrying all our luggage upstairs. A ground unit would have been preferred but was fully booked.

Easy to find and ample parking. A good flat screen television for opening night of the AFL

Had Foxtel signage at front, television in my room didn’t seem to have it when scanning channels.

The spa in the room. The staff were lovely and helpful. The location was great. The bed was comfortable and a nice sized room.

I found the room to be mildly unclean - I moved the lamp beside the bed and found something behind the lamp and the lamp was also dusty. I also could hear people quite clearly when they talked - outside and next door despite having the door/windows shut and air conditioning on.
