City Gardens Motel

Julie was fantastic, my wife had surgery in Traralgon so we needed a place to stay for a night. After I booked I wanted my daughter to come a long and most places would charge for an extra person but Julie said there was a single bed in the room I booked and that would be no problem. She knew my situation and was very caring even putting witches hats on the closest parking near my door so as my wife didn't have to walk far. Thank you Julie! Also the rooms are spotless and we'll set out with everything one needs. I'll def be back if I need a place in Traralgon.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Very clean in all aspects. Bathroom even though old was so clean. Towels xtra good quality as was the bed linen. It was good having the wash basin in the main room. Easy access to water for kettle etc. The extra pillows and blanket were stored in covers. Bed xtra comfortable. Cutlery and crockery. Clean and good quality and xtras -Electric kettle , toaster. Microwave and refrigerator were really appreciated.

No complaints at all

Nice warm room as we arrived late afternoon. Enough room to put our things in room. Nice high toilet bowl. Not often found. Loved paintings on wall. Very tastful.

Would have preferred ground floor room, but was OK. Shower was good, except for a little bit of mould on roof of shower room. No window in bathroom for extra ventilation. Fan above toilet part of bathroom needed to be stronger perhaps?

Room was spacious. Cleaner than other motels, and great attention to detail this made it a pleasant stay. I returned unannounced 30 mins after leaving (left jacket in cupboard) and the bed was stripped after my one night stay. Nice to see after a couple of bad experiences at other motels. Smart tv was good. Room was nice and warm during a cold snap.

Net a bit iffy, so watched youtube on the telly.

Parallel parking at the motel which suited our people mover vehicle. Very friendly staff. Only a couple of blocks to walk to the bowls club which served up nice meals. Wife left some minor items behind and they phoned us to let us know and to see if we wanted to come back and pick them up.

Could not complain about anything for the price they charged

The hotel staff truly exceeded our expectations. We were part of a group with a late check-in, and they made sure everything went seamlessly, offering exceptional assistance. As for the room, it pleasantly surprised me. Despite the hotel's age, I couldn't find a single fault. Everything was impeccably maintained, and the room had a wonderfully fresh scent.

Location suited me fine. Size of the shower was very good. Fridge was good. Ironing board and iron were good.

Downstairs room was preferred but it was a case of take what you can get. The lounge chair seat cushion was way too soft. Hard to find a good water temperature setting when showering. Too many questions in this survey. This review is not to be used for marketing purposes.

Really appreciated how communicative the staff were. They were able to assist with booking enquiries and change of dates as needed. Really assuring knowing that you have staff who are flexible.

Potentially a communal washer and dryer.

Clean, well furnished and maintained despite it being a bit dated in places. Wash basin located outside the bathroom (toilet and shower). Friendly staff. Walking distance (less than 15 minutes) to the city centre for food and essentials. Parking on-site.

You can hear the traffic on the highway, but it dies down later in the evening before picking up again in the morning, so not too bad.

Scrupulously clean and surprisingly well facilitated for the age of the property. Staff called ahead about my checkin details and arranged seamless late checkin/self service checkout.

Situated on noisy main road, but one knows that when booking, and I was surprised at how little of the noise penetrated much.
