Korte's Resort

Location was at first daunting being so far from the city and then I realised how great it is to be away from the main drag making the stay sweeter. Layout of the room was ok, not a fan of the main bed being soo close to the kitchen (less than 1mtr) and heaps of spacious car parks which is a massive bonus. Great friendly staff upon arrival, including the restaurant hosts, housekeepers and gardens/maintenance gurus. Was a pleasant stay and would most definitely come back if that standards stays.

Besides the bed and kitchen being too close together in our room, the main rubbish wheely bin being in the small community laundry room... I think the only down side which isn't much at all, was the Rules on Towels. No free pool towels for the pool. You must bring your own or hire Korte's pool towels as you are not allowed to use the room towels. I couldn't find info online or whilst booking about this delimma besides the actual room. We did buy some towels from BigW only to opt out of using the pool entirely as we were too busy to go for a swim anyway. I get it, people pinch towels from hotels and it's a big cost to the company to wash them, maybe in the future this changes. Other than those small things, I'd definitely be back 😊👌

Room was clean and tidy & nice pool

Location! Long way from town and access to restaurants etc. The restaurant does not serve food all day long - this was frustrating when we travelled and couldn’t check in till 2pm and were hoping to get some food and relax by the pool. On their site it says you can access their restaurant all day …. Not the case we had to then leave the resort and travel (a long way as this resort it quite a long way out of town and far away from any restaurants!) to get something to eat.

A perfect layover in-between travel in Rocky. Rooms and resort were very clean and well looked after. Had everything we needed to have a good rest before hitting the road again. Having a pool, restaurant and bar all within were a great help to avoid having to go back out in the car after a long day of driving. Positioned on the outskirts suited us well as we just jumped in the car and were on our way in no time. Great place as Rocky doesn't have much, and families who like safe and clean accommodation, stay here if you find yourself in Rocky, before it was the Big 4. Not anymore!

The room was spacious, and a decent size bathroom. Nice little table and chairs on the verandah. Special mention regarding Jacob in the bar/bistro. He was exceptional, and a credit to the place. It is also in a very peaceful part of town, on the north side of Rockhampton, with supermarket and a hotel very close.

The fridge froze everything, including the milk and fruit, which wasn't pleasant. The bed was very 'bouncy'. Every time we moved, it woke the other person up.

We loved the hotel's proximity to the Capricorn caves and also how easy it was to get to the centre of Rockhampton too The King room was huge and the spa was lovely. Just the thing after exploring the caves or mining for thundereggs at the gemstone mine. The Oasis restaurant being part of the hotel made it super easy to have a fantastic meal, breakfast, lunch & dinner and the food was fresh and wonderfully prepared. The cocktails were amazing too. The manager and his wife were super helpful and great people to get to know. Thanks guys for a wonderful stay.

We didn't like having to leave... So we stayed another night. We'll be back for sure.

It was easy to find and the room was comfortable and clean. The place was quiet. It served it's purpose of being a comfy stop over suitable for a one night stay.

The fact that the kitchen closed at 8pm, 5 minutes after we arrived. And then that the breakfast times were not actively and verbally communicated to us, meant that we missed both opportunities to eat that the location - very inconvenient when you are not familiar with a place.

Excellent location on the highway - an easy stop when heading north or south. We've stayed 3 times now because it's very comfortable, the family rooms are bigger than the average. Love the restaurant on site for easy meals (and room service is a bonus!). Huge grassy patch for the kids to run around out the back. The pool is lovely and well maintained in summer. Staff are an absolute delight and very accommodating. The kitchenette in the family rooms is super handy, as is the full sized fridge. Really, nothing to complain about!

If I'm being really picky, the mattresses are a tad firm but that's a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.

Despite being out of town on a highway the tropical grounds really disguise that fact. Its actually quieter staying here than in town. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is good. But what I think really helps this place stand out is the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Nothing really any issues were dealt with and very small. My only tip is if you want to eat in your room take your own crockery and cutlery. There isn't any in the room. Only cups and spoons this is a motel not a hotel. But I think this is to encourage people to eat in the restaurant which to be fair is very nice, and certainly saves the 20 Min drive into the city if your tired of driving.

The whole resort is lovely, clean, and the lady at reception was so welcoming. The complex is great and for people travelling the location is fantastic. There is an on-site restaurant, not the cheapest, but it was yummy. The rooms are very well arranged, especially when travelling with kids. I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling through Rockhampton.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

This is our "go to" accommodation when we travel through Rockhampton. (We vote with our feet if we don't like a place!) All units are on the ground floor and each has a car park (with additional parking at the front of the reception). Great meals, restaurant standard at similar prices but there is no need to hunt down another place elsewhere (which clearly is a pity for other Rocky restaurants!). If all accommodation was like this there would be no need for any reviews anywhere!

Nothing - but remember it is a few kms outside of town, no hassle with a vehicle. Rocky has some wonderful old buildings and, if that is your thing, definitely worth a drive or walk around town.
