Location and staff. Beds were comfortable.

Apartment was dated and worn. Very plain and not decorated. Corridor smelt unpleasant. Manta provided very limited parking which meant we had to find parking on the street and move the car constantly. Not enough cutlery and plates. Pool was dirty and had missing tiles (not maintained). We found ants in the kitchen. Wifi was slow and unreliable. Vacuum cleaner was useless. We stayed for 7 nights. New towels were not provided. The shower in the main bathroom leaked on the floor creating a hazard. Showers in both bathrooms were mouldy. The gym did not have much equipment.

Great location. Nice spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Had plates and bowls/cutlery too which is handy if you like to have brekky in your room. Pool area is nice. Reception has comfortable lounges to wait or read brochures and water cooler.

Air conditioning in room was really really loud, constantly rumbling, clicking etc. Its an old machine and even at 30degrees was still freezing. Tue heat doesnt bother us, so we ended up turning it off and sleeping with windows open, but this meant we were woken up early by the trucks outside etc each morning picking up bins and construction workers.

The location is excellent. Within walking distance of everything in the CBD including shops and restaraunts. Our room faced Tower 2, but we still had a reasopnable view of the shops and the bay around the tower. We were on Level 6 which was above all the other obstructions. Room was spacious with reasonablely modern furnishings, well presented with all suitable items for self catering. I liked the fact that the staff made it clear that if we wanted anything replenished during our staff to just ask, which we did, and they were always pleasant. Pool was very nice and the way it is separated into play and swim areas is a feature I have not seen before. This allows the kids to play and the adults to do laps at the same time, even thought that was never a problem anyway. Parking may be limited, but we never had a problem finding a car park under the units.

The only complaint we had was that there are no shelves or draws to unpack into. This may be persuliar to this unit, but it meant that we had to live out of our suitcases. A couple of shelves or draws in the wardrobe would make the room perfect.

We stayed in one of the hotel rooms which was enough for a couple on a short trip. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the view from the balcony over the pool and out to the sea was great. Loved the shower! Perfectly located on The Esplanade near restaurants and a short walk to the port. The staff were great, very helpful and friendly.

Only one very small issue - there was nowhere to hang the bath towels to dry and we didn't realise we could go to the front desk to change them until day 3. The information is contained on a QR code but maybe a notice in the room as well would be helpful?

Lovely, clean rooms, comfy beds, beautiful view, just a wonderful aprtment. Very convenient as it is on the Esplanaded and walking distance to all city attractions, ferry terminal etc.

although it states onsite parking, its first in best dressed, otherwise you must pay for parking out on the main road. No where near enough parking spots onsite. Out of the 3 nights we stayed, we were unable to park onsite at all. From a chain as well known as Mantra and of course, not to mention the price we paid for our apartment, I expect secure, undercover parking

Parking is very tricky. There’s only around 20 spaces for hotel guests on a first come first served basis. Street parking is ok but you have to keep moving the car. Hotel is also pretty pricey but this is common in Cairns over winter. $600+ for a small two bedroom apartment per night is a bit rich. In comparison I stayed in a large two bedroom apartment right on the beach at Surfers paradise recently for only 1/3 of the price

Staff and position.

Rooms are run down and worn out. No parking/not enough car spaces.

I had an ocean view room and was greeted by the Sun each morning. I had a bath in the bathroom which is always welcome. Plenty of room and a large bed to collapse on greeted me when i returned from eating or drinking.

The amount of light entering the room, especially from the hall way gave the room a rather twilight look which made it harder to sleep. One advantage of the light in the room is, you can get up in the middle of the night without turning a light on.

Was in an excellent location, close to the esplanade with restaurants, bars and cafes. Staff were always very friendly and helpful.

The air conditioner was a dial on the wall that was not standard and had no instructions- if there wasn’t a dehumidifier in the room I didn’t work very well ( it also filled up very quickly and no longer worked whilst full - then took a while to cool down the room again) No cleaning of room while you stay, but no cleaning equipment in the room either - I think if you stay longer than a couple of days there should be a refresh to the room
