Summit Apartments

Perfect spot as very close to St Andrew’s hospital where I needed to have an operation. Very close walk down a gradual hill to King George square and then Queen St Mall the day before to do some shopping. free parking for the car which was fantastic, first place we have stayed where they don’t charge an extra $30 or so for that!!

older style bathroom so taps to turn shower on are down low which is tricky but really no issues otherwise.

Being an apartment the room was good size with a small kitchen. Nice view of the city from balcony. We arrived 2 hours before check in, not expecting to get in but the room was ready which was really great. Only about a 15 minute walk to centre of town. Staff were very helpful.

The balcony was not clean, everything being dusty. We had to clean the table ourselves and the balcony floor could have been cleaner.

Reception Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Very close to the beautiful Roma Street Parklands, and spent the first evening walking through the gardens and into the city, enjoying the many Christmas decorations. I had Day Surgery scheduled at St Andrews Hospital the following day, and this allowed me (and my wife later in the day) to comfortably walk to and from the hospital, and to recover in comfort. Great city views. And Yummy Yummy Asian Take-away Restaurant is just a short walk away, around the corner. A very appropriate name.

Ducted Air Conditioning was wonderful in the lounge, but didn't seem to cool the bedroom down despite its own air outlet. However, once the bedroom door was opened, all was good :)

It was very clean, staff were nice and helpful, and bed was very comfy

The pool was out of service(and apparently for a while), it was disappointing because as the swimming pool icon was in the facilities description, we were expecting it. I’d suggest they remove the icon so people don’t assume they have a pool when you can’t actually use it. In fact, I filtered my search selecting the swimming pool and that’s how we ended up booking at Summit apartments…

very convenient to St Andrews’s hospital!!

after spending $2000+ on accommodation we asked for. 2 hours more and were told it would be $50. the ac has one setting so freezing in the living room and warm in both bedroom’s- also very loud!!

The place is clean and well located. It's a well dated building however as it's clean and well maintained this was no issue for us

We rang to say that we were running late as we wanted to make sure we could still get into our room. 2 minutes after coming to an agreement about our time of arrival with the front desk we received a location sharing request from the hotel on our phone. For us this is a massive breach of privacy and overall we were happy with the premise but we won't be staying here again.

the extra large size of our 4th floor one bedroom unit, the large size of the parking spaces, parking included in the price, general ease to get to, full size fridge, blackout curtains, location to city centre, although an older building most things have been updated,

although a full size dishwasher, no detergent cubes to use, no scrubber for pots and pans, no oven, ac not adjustable- its just on or off, no public transport on weekends

Bit Noisy aircon & no control panel for aircon It might feel a bit dated but the view from the apartment, having all the facilities, good location & friendly staff makes up for that.

All fine staff nice room nice and clean the fridge needed full defrost..others nice place free parking good which makes a change in brizzie city

Nothing really was nice stay..could smell smoking going on..the aircon is in need a a good service so noise had a job too sleep..other people have mentioned this but don't seem too think they want too get it fixed which is very wrong

This hotel is in the perfect position for St Andrews Hospital, its right next to it on the same side of the street, easy walk to the entrance 2mins. The location was great easy walk to a convenience store in the next block. Restaurants close walk down the street. The Roma Street park is across and up to the next block, across from the hospital. Onsite parking a wonderful bonus. The one bedroom apartment had a lovely view of the river, magic at night. The room was clean and tidy and everything you need. The bed comfy.
