First of all, the staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel is in a nice location, the tram station was close and it takes around 20 minutes to get to the center, but there are shops around and a McDonald’s. I loved that there was free ice cream in the hotel 🤍

I read the same in the reviews, but it was really hot, even though they put a fan in the room, to make it better, so we appreciate that they tried. If you open the window there is a lot of noise coming from the street. We were very unlucky to get a family next door that was very loud, so we had troubles sleeping, our advice - take the earplugs with you

Finding the hotel and checking in was very easy. The staff were very friendly and helped me with all the requests and questions that I had. The hotel location is very good as there are plenty of public transport stop nearby. The cleanliness in the hotel was excellent. On the last day after checking out we asked if we can leave our luggage as our flight was a late one and we wanted to visit the city center and they were kind enough, took our luggage, gave us a ticket and the luggage was stored safely under key.

In the evenings the street noise from passing busses and cars can be annoying. There was no air conditioning and only a fan to move the air which is probably good most of the time, but during the peak summer temperatures even with widely open window you cannot cool down the room.

The staff where really welcoming. we were able to check in early without any issues. free coffee facilities in the lobby, well stocked vending machine. Great wifi, spacious room and we felt safe there for our stay.

No curtains in the room which meant street lights beaming in and being woken once the sun comes up. Our room also faced a school which meant kids could see in the whole time, had to be mindful to change in the bathroom. Quite a gap in the bathroom door even when fully closed so might not feel very comfortable for some people. Bathroom is nice but the shower doesn't have a full screen so we had to stack towels to ensure the water didn't flood too far out.

The hotel itself was new as everything inside was clean and fresh. Very comfortable and big bed, even a small book shelf, which included books as well! The fridge and coffee facilities were a great add-on. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Everything was very clean and tidy. We did not have any breakfast, but coffee and tea was offered complimentary throughout the hotel. Got upgraded in a room with a terrace, but unfortunately weather did not allow for the use of it… The location was nice and convenient, close to Altstetten Bahnhof. From the airport you could reach the hotel directly by train, and Zurich centre was easily reachable.

There is nothing I could fault, it was a pleasure staying at the FLAG hotel.

First time at THE FLAG and I like the concept. Well designed hotel and rooms, great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Consciousness for sustainability is visible in room (shampoo, only single towels if single room use, food waste at breakfast). The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood a bit outside of Zurich City, but still easy to reach with public transport. Altstetten itself is, what it is. You definitely want to go to Zurich to spend the evening. I got a free upgrade on arrival and had an excellent room on an upper floor with a great terrace. Price is fair for Zurich. I'll definitely return and also try THE FLAG in other locations.

We really loved our stay here. The staff were so so friendly and welcoming. Our room was incredible considering how much we paid. I'm assuming it was cheaper because it wasn't directly in the main part of Zurich. However, the location worked so well for us. It was clean, modern, and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we didn't get to have the breakfast that's provided but it looked awesome.

The only letdown was the fact that there was no aircon and it did get quite warm in the room considering it was still really cold outside.

The rooms were spacious & well equipped. Staff at front desk exceptionally friendly (especially the young man with light hair who even took the time to talk us through the map and point out some things to do). Plenty of coffee & hot drinks available 24/7 in reception. Great location - supermarkets nearby & close to tram, bus & train stations.

The room was quite dusty when we arrived & the automatic blinds partially broken (I was able to fix these myself). The room was only cleaned once every three days which meant no restocks of water.

I liked the design of the room, and the entire hotel. I also liked the use of authentic artworks on the walls. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfasts were also great. The location was only 15 mins away from the train station and old town by bus.

The only thing that bothered me was that there was no A/C and it was stuffy and hot in the room. Also, while eating breakfast there was no shade and the heat and blinding sunlight made it a bit uncomfortable.

Quiet location in a residential/offices area outside the city center, but with public transport nearby (bus, tram, trains). Better value for money than city center hotels (but still expensive as everything in Zurich). Spacious room with small balcony. Good bathroom. Clean and modern. WiFi is stable but a bit slow. Breakfast is good.

The "treasure hunt" to find how to operate the windows blinds. The command is located opposite to the windows (near the entrance door and can be confused with air conditioning control, but there is no air conditioning ...). You have to scan a QR code which takes you to a site where you can download a one page instruction list for operating the blinds! These instructions does not correspond exactly with the device in my room, but with a few "trial & errors", you will make it work! It is fun if you have time, but a simple copy on the desk of the instructions would be useful for those who don't.

Room very clean and new furniture. Cosy. Modern design. Comfortable and silent. Breakfast seemed fresh. Coffee and tea is courtesy of the hotel. You can get as many as you wish. There is a laundry room with laundry machine and a dryer you can use. The stuff are very nice and helpful. Shout out to Rafael from the reception. He was really helpful and friendly. Lots of public transportation options.

The only problem is that the cleaning lady only comes every three days. But I have asked for clean towels and they gave me some without hesitations.
